He won the most duels, the most aerial duels, most clearances, most touches, most passes, most clean sheets, most interceptions and he has blocked the most opposition shots. He Helped his team to a second consecutive UCL final and won it. Defeating teams like Bayern, PSG and Barcelona. Got 97 points in the league losing only once. And nobody has dribbled past him for over 45 consecutive games. Hope he will win the Ballon d'or aswell 😁

Well deserved Virgil! Virgil van Djik is the best centre-back in the world by far currently! His leadership, authority, calmness, anticipation, awareness, strength, speed, physique & ball playing skills is world class! He's the main reason why Liverpool been successful in recent years & winning the Champions League last season. Virgil speaks excellent English during his acceptance speech , he speaks better English than some English people.

Nathan P Thought the entire premier league season not a single player has managed to get past him. I think this is more impressive then scoring (in my opinion) 38 goals in a weaker league. He completely transformed the Liverpool dafance from conceding the most goals out of the top six to the least, while leading them to compete with Man City in the title race and possibly got them a Champions League win. He also did great work with his home country leading them to the nations league final. Don’t get me wrong I still think Messi is the Goat but this season Van Dajk has been the best player and deserves the Ballondor
