It seems to me getting a single to the wall (not a ricochet single) is way more unlikely than getting a double or triple. I hardly ever see those hit. The triples should be next to the homerun.
Remember that time you entered the second inning not in the lead? ;) This game would be a bit faster if you select CPU to get the first turn, since you don't need to bat the bottom of the 3rd if you are already winning.
