Darn!! I was waiting for the amp testing!!
I've no way to do an amperage discharge test at the moment, but most 26650's can take a fairly large discharge rate
@@MrBazReviews the IR should be an indicator of their capability. I’m guessing the Xtars have an IR of 10 or less
@@bobforte9343 The Xtar is a bit old now for me to test the IR, it also varies depending on the tester, the SkyRC is quite accurate
Love these Rapid fire reviews with no bs that cut all the fat out and just give us the meat 🍖 (the information we came for)
You earned my sub thanks man. 👍🏽
It's only a quick capacity test, but yes I prefer short videos that get on with it! Thanks for the comment
@MrBazReviews if you're looking for video ideas I have found a massive lack of content around 26650 batteries and 21700(the new 18650 replacement) there's literally only about two or three videos I could find but it's like a massive void on RUclips covering those size batteries if you did more testing on those types of batteries you would probably be the only Channel doing it because I looked far and wide and could not find anything outside of random Chinese brand videos. But no one really testing the batteries that people want to buy like the higher-end batteries from Panasonic Sony etc. I know money doesn't grow on trees but if the videos can generate more money than the batteries cost it could actually turn out to be a good play to make content wise. Because 21700 and 26650 are the future. Especially since Tesla stopped using 18 650s in created the 21700 which is almost 45% more capacity in a battery that's only like 10% bigger. 21700 and 26650 seem to be the promise land of the future and as of today there is not a whole lot of content on those types of batteries out there. Jjst a massive content void waiting to be filled.
Just a thought I had.
@@grey5135 It depends really I still use 18650 ones too as they are a bit smaller and lighter, and the capacity is still for many more than good enough. 21700 is popular, and it's not that much bigger for a nice step up in capacity, still I don't see it entirely taking over in the same way some people want even smaller sizes for EDC.
Most of the 26650 cells seem to be almost identical capacity, they might be made from the same manufacturer. The form factor can suit some models better (larger girth)
I have a fat driver astrolux ft03 sst40 flashlight, and if i use with this high amper 26650 battery will be better output lumens than my 18650 low amper battery?
Won't increase power to the light will last longer
Hi output flashlights need a high drain battery in my experience. At least 3c or 10A.
Looks good. What after some cycles? Still okey? Right now i have Basen 4500 mAh 60A they are good but for similar price now i can see liitokala 5000 mAh so i made a mistake buying this basen when get additional 500 mAh without extra paid for liitokala.
They are working fine so far no issues much depends on how often and fast you discharge them. I've not tested the Basen so far every 26650 I've used or tested is more than 4500mAh so it's possible that one is too
@@MrBazReviews I will test my Basen but i waiting for good promotion for charger with tester. Will see about real cap.
@@xayroMS You could try the Opus charger that isn't expensive and has quite a few features including testing/capacity
Great Vid and just about to buy some of eBay thought id check first. Thanks

Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
Nice video, can this be use for portable solar power bank.
Yes you can
question. Can you recommend a cell to make a small 72V 50A e-bike battery the size of a small crotch rocket. Size and output are my main concerns. Everyone uses 18650s and high drain applications use 21700s or tessla cells. I was thinking 26650s because they are about 1/3 bigger but high capacity and output. I don't know of many different cells. I'm trying to research but there are SOOOOOOOO MANY. If I use HOHM grown2 cells I can use half as many cells (so cut the size by 1/3), gain 10-20 amps and only loose 100mah but still maintain 30ah. Do you know of a better cell or battery pack that would better meet my application? The goal is to get small light weight enduro type e-bikes so we can take them in the back of my jeep off-roading with us to putt around on. Charge them on an inverter when they die.
21700 is popular because the size capacity is more efficient v the 26650 ones. In an ideal world the 26650 would be better in terms of capacity. They are still good though, and perhaps a bit cheaper. All the 26650's I have used, have near identical capacity, I am working on the basis they likely come from the same factory.
I wouldn't waste too much time pondering about the batteries, other than junky eBay ones you can't go wrong with the decent quality cells
Can we use it in rechargeable flashlight? Like Xiaomi Youpin 2000lm flashlight?
Yes if the torch works with flat top cells you can use it
are these 26650/26700s good to go 1P5S 18v ?
Looking at the 51S and 53S
Would I be able to push these cells using a 18650 pcb, im not sure why not considering the 3.7v
They're just bulkier 21700s needing a larger case
Go for it they can handle it
@@MrBazReviews excellent news!
Comes out to about $13 for a 5.1AH pack with the lii-51S.
Another question, if building a 21700 pack.. Is their any good way to get overheat protection on a 2P or 3P setup? Do I just have to find a pcb with that feature? Would be more comfortable building such a dense unit with 30A+ CDR if it had a 70-80 degree C limit. Especially since some of the cells need 80°c protection to run 30A
@@Tom-xi6gj Get the PCB if the cells overheat they will vent, you'd have to be really pushing them to do that.
I didn't hear you clearly at the end. Do you actually recommend this battery for an e-bike battery pack?
I didn't recommend it for anything, I just tested the capacity ;-D
If it meets the spec for an e-bike you can use it
@@MrBazReviews Ok, thanks for the quick response.
This guy uses them: ruclips.net/video/7p-onmNYFCk/видео.html
What's the charger you are using at 1:11?
Nitecore F2
What is this battery discharged rate, based on your tests, please?
Continuous up to 20A is fine that is the most It will take before getting too hot
I don't know where the dumb 5A discharge spec comes from, heck even a dodgy 18650 with low capacity can handle that
1:28 has a succumbed top so it can not be used as putt on the other coz will not have contanct to the 2nd batery
get a spacer
What’s the amp limit !!??!?!
They don't specify for unprotected 26650's it's usually around 20-25A continuous, I ignore the pulse discharge as it has no real meaning
hi what 26650 would you recommend for milwaukee m28 batteries and can you build them up as i have 6 v28 that may have some cells down cheers .i am in bolsover
Should be fine people have used these for ebikes and other devices. They can take 25A cont load so that's plenty for high drain applications or non high drain
Can i use it to replace jbl speaker battery?
If it takes the same cell it will work
If i draw 2.5 or 3 amp how long will they last ?? An hour ?
5000mAh divide by current so 3 amp is 3000mAh fairly simple
@@MrBazReviews so it will last at least 2 hours you mean ?
@@MrBazReviews i didn't understand.
@@waleedkhalid2999 Try harder 5000mAh drain 5A = 5000mAh 1 hour at that draw it's kinda simple really
@@MrBazReviews now i understand so if i draw 3 amps I will ger hour and half. Thank you :)
What is the charging current for them?
I would charge at say 2A faster charging or lower. You could charge a bit higher they are big cells they can take a quicker charge
@@MrBazReviews OK then thanks very much. If I have 5p would you say that would be safe for 80 amps?
Are these the same size as D cell battery?
Nope they are different
What's the max. discharge rate for these beauties?
You can pull about 20A continuous out of these, maybe a touch more. Go higher and they get pretty hot, so that's a safe level
The Max quoted 50A can't be sustained long, just ignore these numbers on cells
Can you tell me the overall length?
6.5cm length same as a 18650 cell
From my understanding the number 26650 breaks down to 26mm width, 65mm length, plus zero. This formula applies to 18650 as well!
Thx sir

Something about unknown battery brand names that get my skin to itch.. don't feel comfy putting that thing close to my face lol..
LiitoKala is well-known brand. Well-known for making fake batteries lmao. But these are apparently worth to get from them.
I bet all these come out the same factory results are near identical for every 26650 I've tested
Is there a fake Litokala 26650 battery? I bought the same battery some months ago and it arrived only on bubble wrap. No box. When I made a review on shopee and asked if what id got was a fake one, the seller was fuming mad. I was just asking and did not say directly that it was fake. I became suspicious after seeing on the internet that Litokala 26650 batteries commonlycame in a box and not just a bubble wrap.
Does the battery look the same with the QR code? I'd be surprised if it was commonly fakes, wouldn't make much sense I would expect more well known brands to suffer from that.
@@MrBazReviews yes it looks the same with the QR code.
How po 2 order
Do a search in your region they are about
I have had a horrible experience with GearBest, will never buy anything from them again. Refused to give me a return authorization for a “Smart” watch!
Gearbest don't send any items for review anymore, I'll be removing links and won't be putting any more up in the future. I'm not overly impressed with them myself, they used to be OK now even as a reviewer I'm not impressed with them. Sorry you had a bad experience

I don’t like these battery’s I’ve had 3 that tested at around 5500 mah but 9months later these read less than 100mah
100mAh seems really low for any battery let alone these. Even a badly worn out cell wouldn't be that low
@@MrBazReviews 1000*
@@MrBazReviews my cpnvoy m3 lasts around 30 seconds before cutting out
These r good holdage battery but very suckle the way the tip positive are made very upset and cheap!!

It would seem to be that way, though I'm not 100% sure
