Thanx for showing 💚
Absolutely love this
👌
Thanks!
👍
Nice technique but there may be an epidemic of broken windows until everyone gets the hang of it 😁
We take no responsibility for the carnage that might ensue
😂😂😂😂😂
@@ClimbingArborist smhw i can see this fellow earning a few quid doing this at renaissance fairs and hippie rock concerts
Yeah thats cool, definitely going to give this a try 👌
🤙
That’s cool! I’m gonna give that a try.
Let us know how it goes
This is excellent and truly original content! I'm not sure I'd have more control than I would with a pendulum style swing, but you would definitely have more force if you released it at the right time with this windmill technique! Theoretically, if you got good enough at the latter, the differences would be negligible. In fact, it may become a benefit to throw this way because of the added centrifugal force. I sleep with my BigShot closely by my side (along with my Rope Runner Pro), so I'm not too concerned with long throw technique, just short throw. Now SUBSCRIBED to Dave Treemonkey Ireland!
I love that comment. Your big shot and rope runner are your security blanket, lol.
If you try it out, let us know how it goes 👍
@@jonbarnhard3681 Haha, well put. They're my love children as well! Having to be in a tree without either would be devastating to my quality of life! =-D
Dude of a woodsman! Love the dramatic soundtrack too 👍
Cheers cuz! 👍
I'll have to give this method a go to see if I can make use of it. The only thing that I can see as a hindrance is if there is too much brush or obstacles around you to allow enough room for the circular arc.
When I use the pendulum method, my release always strays to the right of my aim by a couple of feet per 40 feet of height for some reason, so I built a compressed air cannon throw bag launcher. It makes it so easy to hit my target crotch or limb, especially if there are obstacles around you that restrict hand throwing. Plus, it can "out throw" me by a mile, which comes in handy on monster Douglas firs.
Do you throw single handed? If so, not correct the ball straying right try facing the inside of your wrist forward rather than side on. This might help

Thanks for the tip. Will give it a shot.
I,ve got an air cannon too, but its only for fun.. this underhand spin can easily hit 75'+
i will try do to this :)
Interesting technique, I’ll practice with that method and see how it goes😊
Good luck, let us know how you get on
I didn't know there was other ways of doing this. I've always thrown lines this way.
🤙
Show us 🤙
excellente méthode,plus qu'à essayer 👍
😃
Did then the first time I ever tried throwing a line (before I even saw this; I just thought about how a slingshot works and thought "why not for this"). My problem is not getting oomph behind the throw, but where the thing goes :-D I guess lots of practice makes perfects (same story with the slingshot)...
I'll give it a try. I love new ways of doing old things. But I'm not very confident about it ! I'll be back to report.
One of my first formans when I started was a rancher before he started tree work and he would spin them over his head like a laso and hit the mark every time. I wish I still had contact with him so I could get a video
That sounds amazing
Enjoyed the video. Another option for throwing your line/weight up through your target crotch. Not sure if I can get it to work good enough....but I'm going to give it a try. I like the way August throws the weight...an overhand lob....like tossing a grenade. For short throws I'm usually in after two or three attempts. But for long high ups I resort to my Big Shot.
It’s great to see different options and styles
Won’t hurt to try
Hopefully not 😜
Thx ! I'll try it. I hope i don't break anything : ]
You probably will be hopefully nothing to expensive 😂
@@ClimbingArborist :: Me first & my family. May God protect us ; )
Woohoo! Go Tree Monkeys!
Yeow... careful now, your big arms would be too much for this style 😉
😂😂😂@@DavetreemonkeyIreland
Do most climbers prefer to rope walk up a tree or use spurs and a flip line if both were an option?
I prefer to never use spikes unless absolutely necessary ropes are just easy to manipulate
Centrifcal?force looks good..gotta try that
Let us know how it goes
I like to buy a throwline to use it if in case my drone gets stuck in a tree. Can I do a baseball throw?
Throw however you want
@@ClimbingArborist Thanks! I watched few more ways and it helped a lot! Thank you so much for making a video.
I have a feeling this is a thing that I won't be able to pull off. But I can't wait to give it a whirl. Ha! "whirl".
Let us know how it goes
How high is he getting with accuracy ?
Hes a crack shot with that technique
I'm usually pretty good for 20 to 25m, can deffo throw higher but accuracy decreases
@@DavetreemonkeyIreland that will get you in most trees. Well done.
My main problem with using a throw line is aim. I can never get it exactly where I want. Repeat, repeat repeat... but the time spent doing it argh. Another issue is rope burn. I usually wear gloves to avoid this. Good video thanks.
It’s a hard thing to master that’s for sure
Pinching the line like this will definitely develop callus growth on your index finger 🤪
