      it doesn't have to be bad
      - is the beef (or meat) lean or not? ground bison for example is an excellent choice
      - is the cheese processed? rather than singles use something like blue cheese or real cheddar
      - is the bun made with bleached and refined flour or something a bit more wholesome and grainy
      - many calories will come from condiments, so rather than ketchup have tomatoes instead and keep the ketchup, mayo, mustard and sauce to a bare minimum...
      - rather than have a side of fries have a salad
      - instead of a soft drink, a glass of water

    • @azngettoone
      @azngettoone 8 лет назад +10

      I agree that the correct amount of food issue required to build quality muscle. But I wouldn't disregard supplementation like creative, glutamine, bcaa, etc, because it is a small to large part of building muscle depending on the individual goals.

Just don’t go wasting money on supplements and A LOT of groceries for BIG meals and that’s all you need to know. It’s not about how you feel or how you can perform. eat eggs, beef, venison, lamb, for protein. eat less pork. try substituting fish sometimes instead of chicken or turkey. don't underestimate fish, its very high in minerals, especially sardines and salmon, and your body needs minerals. for carbs, don't sweat it. just pick something thats halfway healthy, like potatoes or beans or 7- grain bread, don't eat the empty calorie stuff like white bread or salty snack food. eat root vegetables and cooked greens with your meat, they contain a lot of nutrients your body needs. Everything I'm saying is pretty basic stuff, you don't have to do tons of research or stress it if you want to build a stronger and healthier body. In my opinion you cant put on muscle mass and build a stronger body without building a healthier body as well, the two go hand in hand.

      Then you probably have great genetics for mass gain, for other people its not that easy to gain. Also you had mass to begin with, if you lost 75lbs. No skinny guy is gunna gain mass from simply cutting calories. lol

    • @Athena_Ready
      @Athena_Ready 8 лет назад +2

      +AJ Isquierdo I really don't, I just started out as some average guy, before training, had more fat than muscle, but wasn't a fatass don't get me wrong, I just dieted and did strength training, it's not hard, a have a bunch if friends at my school with different body types that did the same thing for either cutting or mass gaining. You just need to understand what amount of weight, reps and sets to do to stimulate hypertrophy and just a lot of protein and fat, shit I ate a lot of carbs too...simple. it's muscle building or strength building or muscle endurance building, there's simple weight, reps and sets to do, to gain them. Same goes for nutrition. But hey that's just my opinion on the matter

    I have a question about the 5:1 carb/fiber rule. If I'm trying to do a 5000 calorie diet with a macro mix of 50% carbs, 30% fats, and 20% protein - my carb intake would be around 625 grams. That would be 125 grams of fiber.
    That being said, the average male adult consuming 2000 calories a day has a recommended fiber intake of 38 grams. Having too much fiber can cause stomach pain, gas, bloating, etc. I'm about to attempt my journey to gain weight and get healthier. Should I be concerned about consuming 125g of fiber?

    -Just fucking work your muscles until you think you did enough. You are tired and you leave the gym weak and exausted
    -Bench
    -Squat
    -Deadlift
    -PowerClean
    -Hill sprints/sprints (my favorite cardio exercise for burning many calories)
    -These exercises work the majority of your major muscles.
    -Curls, skull crushers, calf raises, abs ect should come second (In My Opinion)
    -Drink water throughout the day and nothing else except a cup of shitty black coffee or tea (remember, no additional things to process your food/drink)
    -Work your best to your ability in any state of physical ability.
    Fuel your body with what grows on the earth and roams the earth, (it's rawest state, the less processed the better).
    And come back for some more IRON BABY!!
    =||||==👊😠👊==||||=
    Modern civilization has changed many of our minds and simple processed foods can cause addiction.. Adding sugar, condiments, toppings, frying in oils ect. Eat basic raw foods and work your ass off just like any human before civilization. If they weren't swole, they were usually ripped if they were fed well!
    It's your choice. Grind through the week with your boring fuel and have a nice cheat meal on the weekend and look great, or enjoy your tasty food througout the week but frown in the mirror in the morning when your fat starts to creep up on your body.

    Eat protein, and complex carbs 4 times a day. Those base proteins include lean chicken, lean beef, and fish high in omega-3 fatty acids. Workout 5 times a week 1.5hrs a session. Sleep 5-8 hrs day nap if you can .5-1hr per day. Abstain from getting drunk. Out of the 5 workout days, be sure to include cardio for 1hr. 2 hrs if you have a desk job. By eating food high in nutrients you should notice gains in 3 weeks. Bodybuilding to me is a lifestyle of eating and living healthy without being pressured, but by making wise choices when selecting what you put into your body.
