  • #Ep 3 | Lake District National Park | Solo Camping
I packed my Ténéré for another UK National Park camping trip.
How could you visit the Lake District, and not swim in a lake? You couldn't... so I didn't. Amongst fine food in Keswick, picking up a copy of Chinua Achebe's 'Things Fall Apart', and riding the fantastic Whinlatter Pass; I took a cold plunge in the spectacular Ennerdale Water. As always, the tranquillity of nature, savour of steak, and the equanimity that Laphroaig induces; I thoroughly enjoyed another remote reset before heading back into the perpetual machine.
"Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter"
    - Chinua Achebe.

Nice, I bet you felt a million dollars after the swim. I hope the dram was a scotch?

@@Omshter66 nothing better than a cold water swim to clear the mind. Yeah, it was a Laphroaig 10, scotch is the only way to drink whiskey 💪

@SolitaryBear That's my part of the world, Mr Bear. Have you been up to the Highlands of Scotland on your bike yet?
