Not necessarily. If the wrong things are changed, Sonic could go feral, and feral animals are highly aggressive, especially when feeling threatened. This is why Sonic immediately killed Eggman, because Eggman was a threat, and a big one at that. Tails only escaped because Sonic didn't feel threatened by Tails at all, which is why Sonic didn't come back the second time he detected Tails. Either that or Kostas handed him his ass, and he went to lick his wounds somewhere safe. 😎
