    This is my all-time favourite show and I remember they used to broadcast on Friday nights.

    Paul Daniels had a very kind manner with the contestants, typical of the era before dog eat dog quiz shows, also my era, the 80s

    On the announcing duty is this. David Miles into Every Second Counts and Lorna Thomas from the Outro of Every Second Counts.

      Me too. Every Second Counts takes me back to the happiest days of my childhood. Back when BBC TV had proper Evening TV programming at the time.

    25:59 The people writing the questions can't have been massive sports fans, otherwise they would've known that Denis Compton was also a footballer who won The FA Cup with Arsenal!
    Poor old Mick must have had a few bruised ribs after all that elbowing. :)

      @@andymerrett Agree, Compton didn't "find fame" in football, although he did play for Arsenal.
