With the way people who obviously can't do simple math are seemingly in charge of our money supplies I don't think 25 dollar hamburgers are that far off so I ask. If you only had 25 bucks plus tax to your name, which would you choose? A bottle of H2O2 of the 28-30% grade or that Hamburger? I'll remind you a hamburgers joy is over in five minutes or less but a bottle of 30% can last a whole WEEK! or even longer for the fearful/respectful. One more question, if you wore Gloves how would you know what Chemistry Feels like?
You really got to get a smaller beaker to do your drying, 5/8 of all your energy goes to reflux off the sides, just saying if you're going to use one that tall and empty use a fan in a spinning direction and it'll dry out 8 times faster or so and of course choke you out that much faster if you're not careful
I don't really use the funnel for much drying. I mainly use it to filter solid chemicals that I've made from their remaining liquid reagents or carriers.
What will you recommend to clean 5 gallon carboy glass which have some white film deposits inside? I did some reaserch and agua regia was one of the options..
If you don't know what the contaminants are, then fill it with nitric acid and let it sit for a day, then do the same with a base bath solution, then in a acid bath like HCl to restore its strength.
Quantitative Analyst here. Aqua Regia for cleaning is mostly intended for dissolving metallic contaminants. For organics use alcohols, Acetone and only if all else fails something like piranha soln.
Do not sniff or get your eyes over the funnel!!!! This can permanently damage your sense of smell, and permanent eye damage. The camera was over the funnel, not your eyes... Be safe and if you have no experience, do not play with chemicals. Even experienced chemists like myself have accidents from lack of keeping to our good habits and trained habits. You do not have the education or experience, so learn or burn. no joke.
Using salty rubbing alcohol (heated) to clean my large separatory funnel... any better recommendations? Creating a beeswax balm that makes getting the glass back to perfectly clean very difficult. Clean...just not CRYSTAL clean.
Geez man.. you really need to have some safety protocols because someone might get hurt doing this. If there is a single drop of something like Acetone in that frit than you'll quickly have flying piece of boro glass and a loud boom. Please people.. don't be dumb
Insane level of personal disregard for safety with the lack of gloves. Like he says DON'T DO THIS.
Yeah, and then using it as an excuse to ask for money! Lol!

love watching you get all of the safety-nuts all excited. keep up the great work.
Can't you do it upside down to help push out any particles that may be still stuck in there

Boiling Water & Vinger helps to wash out build up. Less Toxic

What did you do to dispose of the piranha solution?

How did it go?

Not wearing ppe.
Huge us moment.
how about a video on extracting that plant on the opening video

Depends on what you use the glass for. zep citrus the orange one works great i know
Make sure its the degreaser
So was that Yeast you were cleaning out?
It wasn't yeast. It was carbon and other insoluble deposits from filtering many chemicals that I have made in the past before I made this channel.
Damn I clean mine every 3 days
@@sizzlean9459 do you use the same piranha solution?
@@RTKgrows.CropSteerXtractCoach I have used it often but not anymore, that stuff is scary
@@sizzlean9459 hi mate, what do you use to clean it ?
I can tell a big difference... especially on the bottom of the frit.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the video.
Can I filter oil with this?
that's usually done with centrifuges.

Im not sure you can infact convert diamond to co2 using piranha solution
Wear gloves dude. A box of nitrile box is a few bucks.
