When I go out on Lake Erie I see many people with the forward facing sonar. They don't appear to be professionals and they are definitely not guides. I guess it does not really affect the fishery too much if people are catch and release. That being said I don't have any desire for the technology because I feel it takes away from the enjoying the truly outdoor experience for me and I stare at a screen enough for work and don't want to do it when I am fishing. When I watch tournament fishing on television it seems to take away having to figure out all the nuances of fishing and simply allows the fisherman to see fish and cast directly to a mark on the screen. There is no feel for the strike (or does not seem to be) because the fisherman can watch the fish follow the lure to the bottom and wait for the fish to pick up the lure. Prior to this technology it took feel to know if a fish was picking up the bait................ Also, fishing show people will always agree with the technology because sponsors sell the products.
Listen to him talk about not liking watching them searching for fish instead of actually fishing is the one and only reason why I stopped watching bass fishing shows and tournament's

As per FFS use it but don’t abuse it. Catch and Release .Let them grow. 🇨🇦
Can't see the price coming down much
Live scope is way too expensive. I’ll just hire a scuba diver for the day.
