Christopher, thank you SO MUCH for coming vicariously with me to Edinburgh! I really appreciate your comments, and that you've recommended my vlogs. I enjoyed this episode of your very much!! I love your style and content, too! I've shared this episode on IG with some of my nearest and dearest as I know they'll enjoy it too.
Hmmm there must be a lot of mushrooms for foraging in the autumn. That would be my heaven. Nice video, thank you. You could use tick repellent in spray. Works well usually. Best of luck.
I know you dyers like the big reveal at the end but you could save me a lot of time clicking through your video to see how it turned out by showing it at the beginning because sometimes I just want to know what color it's going to make. I'll watch the whole video anyways because you're very knowledgable and entertaining (but Jamie is funnier, I'm glad he's in more vids now).
Christopher I loved walking through the woods with you as I sat at my spinning wheel spinning some beautiful 60/40% wool/mohair, and sipping a margarita 😁 Fibre is from from Wellington Fibres here in Ontario, it is basically spinning itself! I plan on a three ply for socks. Thanks for showcasing your finds from Peterborough, I need to rewind and write some of the info down. Loved seeing the results of last episode dyeing, I was hoping to see what the juniper and bark created....next episode??? 🤞🏻✌️
Tracey Kuzniak What a great way to spend the day: spinning and drinking a Margarita. I have additional contact information about the vendors mentioned and will add it this weekend. Cheers and thanks for the comment.
Wonderful podcast! Your location is just beautiful and it was lovely seeing you collect natural materials for your dyes. Also thank you so much for sharing your research on sheep, very interesting. I am learning so much from your podcasts.
Thanks for this - I am a Canadian living in Ireland for the last 18 years. We're moving home next year and seeing the forest type I grew up in was so wonderful I got teary. I can't wait to be back. Hoping the entire fiber community is as chill and welcoming as you ^_^
What a fabulous episode! I loved hearing about your harvest and research! Zan (Xan?) is such a cutie! He reminds me of a deer with his long legs and graceful jumps!
Such a fan of your podcasts. Another great one! Interesting and fascinating. Your yarns are beautiful and it is cool to hear how you achieve the colors. Thanks and happy spring!
Holy deer bones, Cabin Boy! This was a whole new look at the awesome wild life and nature that surrounds your cabin. I have a new found respect for the wood pecker - I didn't realize they could do so much damage to a tree. Another great episode! Your excitement and passion for all things wool is contagious. ♥️ But I got to know who the 4th sheep was in that batt package - Annie, Pearl, Wendy and....?
I love how you explain everything so well. Question - What were the color results from the juniper and birch that you collected at the beginning of the video? Thanks!
@@cabinboyknits1816 Hello, Thank You for the answer ! May I bother you one more time - what about any natural green or blue colors ??? It is a natural off white of a Carpathian sheep wool. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank You !
Loved your presentation. I am a spinner, dyed and weaver from Finstock, Oxfordshire, England. And having a cup of coffe, so cheers.
Carole, thank you for watching. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I just laughed out loud.... I love you buddy ❤🇨🇦❤

Thanks for your info. I have birch and we are going to do 10 pots of mostly mushroom natural dyeing along with the birch.

why are the intro and outro so much LOUDER than your actual video?! ;.; I keep having to jump for the volume button.
