I would recommend using a plastic bristle brush and continue brushing daily, if the quality of salt is poor it may sleet and possibly stain, if its stained you could use - www.mrpoolman.com.au/products/water-technix-stain-remover-1kg-pool-chemical
Theres no hard and fast rule, each application is different, if you have the capacity for weekly, thats great. If not then atleast once a month for prolonged life. Or you could look at switching to a media filter if thats applicable to your situation, wayyy less maintenance!
@@kubotafarming1097 If the filter cartridge is less than one year old and otherwise in good condition I would try to salvage it. Soaking a few hours in a dime acid solution should remove the caked on salt. If the cartridge is over one year old probably just best to replace it (you can use the older one as an emergency spare)
so we have undissolved salt in our pool is there a way we can get rid of it?

Most of it is stuck inside of the paper crack thingys. Would you recommend changing the element?
