Nigardsbreen Glacier | Blue Ice Glacier | Jostedalsbreen National Park | Norway

Nigradsbreen glacier is a very easily accessibile glacier located in Jostedalsbreen National Park of Norway. From Sogndal it is about 1hr drive to the parking place.
The trekking takes around 1hr to the Glacier. You can also avail a boat ride where it will take you to half way and rest half you have to trek towards it. The trek is very easy. Kids can enjoy the trek.
At the end of the trek, we are rewarded with a magnificent view of the glacier. Its very beautiful to see the slight blue coloured glacier with water stream originating from it.
Glacier hiking was not open for kids that time so we could not avail that. However the glacier is very beautiful. Its a Blue Ice glacier and a small stream of water originating from it which is getting accumulated in a big turquoise lake ahead of it.
