I was staring at this pathway in First Aid (M2 at PCOM) and could not remember it at all. This video explained it well and brought it all back. Thank you.
This is a great video and I like that you used the same chart format as in First Aid, but I wish it incorporated the steps from Glutamine leading up to orotic acid
This is an awesome summary but somewhat inaccurate. De novo synthesis of IMP from PRPP has 10 intermediates and amidophosphoribosyltransferase is just the first enzyme in this pathway.
Good general overview, but i had to speed up x2 because this video could have been explained adequately in 2 minutes. I thought the 10 min will include the entire intermediates. But still 5 stars for making our lives easier
This is missing AMP going to Adenosine and then to Inosine (Via ADA) and then to Hypoxanthine before it's converted to Xanthane. It's also missing GMP becoming Gaunine. It' also missing the salvage pathway of HGPRT.
+medical student actually i think its both. IMP --> adenylosuccinate by adenylosuccinate synthetase, then adenlyosuccinate --> AMP by adenylosuccinate lyase
Thank you so much! Was on the verge of tears (exam tomorrow) when I stumbled upon this! A 100% better than all my lecturers combined!

Dude....You are THE man!
OMG thank you for this!! This was the 5th video I watched about purine and pyridine synthesis and I did not really understand it until your video!!
Thank you so much for watching! And your great feedback
You’ve saved my life with this video, thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for the explanation!
thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart
Great Video! Explains it so well

Great video - thanks so much !
Great explanation... a LOT better than USMLE express video!!!

thank you SO much for making this video
hey ;)
Oh and you forgot to mention that UDP has to be converted to UTP before ATP catalyzes it to CTP.
All We need to nail it...Thank you..
I LOVE YOU! I just want to kiss you right now for making my life so easy!! Thanks :D

By orate, you mean orotate?
That's right, he did mention it in the video.
There are several mistakes in this video that may have happened when trying to simplify things
Anusha I Love U !!!
but its adenylosuccinate lyase not synthase.... couldn't finish watching after that mistake
