    This project is awesome!!!
    This is the first video that I have seen of an MP3 player that uses Arduino and demonstrates how to start an MP3 file from saved position :)
    Also using tasks and queues in the code is a very nice touch in my opinion.
    BTW, I might borrow your idea on AUX plug detection to a project that I am currently working on ;)

    this is fantastic, i would be happy if i could get this sort of OS/usablity but using a class D stereo amp chip

    Superb! I'd love to see a Pi Zero 2 variant, with the ability to pull music/video from a network share 😃

      Thank you, a Pi Zero would be a great fit, too. My only concern would be boot time for a linux system. You can‘t really beat a microcontroller at that.

      @@Max-Kern Completely agree on that front. Microcontrollers are great for this type of application. Using something like buildroot or dietpi could let you create a really lean Pi OS with only the needed elements that boots much quicker than a full OS.

      the tape would have to be running across the top of the reels for that to make sense 😉
