How much more does it cost to create an anonymous LLC than a non-anonymous LLC?🤔 Also, do you need to create a trust make the llc anonymous? I am mainly looking to keep my name from being searchable on the secretary of state. It is extremely hard to remove your name from some of these people search sites out here, and they get our info from the sos.
I have an interest in starting an Anonymous LLC for an Ecommerce Brand. I'm curious if there's anything I need to consider as a Wisconsin resident and any pros and cons of Anonymous LLC's. Thank you!
Great content. I have a question I want to start Ecommerce. Where should I form my LLC company? Will Azlo or Mercury open bank account if I decide on forming Anonymous LLC?
(Sorry for the delay in responding) The answer is yes, an Anonymous LLC is a regular LLC, and hence, subject to lawsuits, court orders and everything else that can impact a regular LLC.
Very good video good information thank you If you've already created an LLC in Delaware where you listed your name as a member manager can you still make it Anonymous after the fact or it's already recorded with the state just wondering thanks
Sheesh. Sorry for the delay in responding. I need to pay attention to this channel more. If you've already attached your name to a DE LLC, then it's sort of like trying to put a gene back in the bottle. The association is already out there on the Internet. Folks can look up old company information. So, while you can certainly remove your name from the Articles by filing an Amended Articles, it's not a perfect solution because old information is out there.
would this mechanism be useful for preventing / limiting "doxxing" situations, where parties, with intent to harm you, by obtaining personal info, and publicly publishing it somewhere online with designs to make your information available to your 'enemies'... I. e. whatever group they can find which might invent reason(s) to hate you or your endeavors. ??
Yes, Anonymous LLC's (learn more: www.l4sb.com/services/business-formation/anonymous-llc/) are a great way to help limit / prevent "doxxing". We do have a number of abuse and crime victims, who need to be careful in releasing information about where they are or what they are doing. Anonymous LLC's help folks do business, without releasing private information about themselves.
@@law4smallbusinessl4sb92 I have some questions. 1.)Does the anonymous LLC formation include forming both the parent LLC and the child LLC for $200, or does it only form the parent LLC for $200, and then we pay extra to get the child LLC formed? 2.) When it is time to do taxes, do we pay state and federal taxes on both the holding company & regular LLC, or just one of them?
Hello. I have a question about anonymous LLC'S. When you form both the holding llc and the regular one, do you have to file taxes on both in two different states? 🤔 Also, when we form the regular one, do we get someone else to do the organizing part?
The holding company should own the regular LLC which keeps the anonymity, as well as single tax filing as long as the holding owns 80% or more of the child LLC.
Hi, Tony. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work that way. Make sure you understand the rules from the CTB. Read this link: www.ftb.ca.gov/file/business/doing-business-in-california.html. What I've heard happening to folks, is the IRS talks to the State of CA, and income reported to the IRS will eventually be figured out by the State of CA, and CA will come knocking. Doesn't matter where you put your address for the company. Larry.
H.R.2513 - Corporate Transparency Act of 2019 I’m going to be writing a blog article about this, that will go into much more detail. However, my general comments are: (1) “Anonymous LLC’s” as I define it, aren’t going away. We can keep your name off the Internet, to prevent folks from doing “Internet research” to figure out who you are. We cannot keep the IRS or banks from knowing who you are, and this Bill doesn’t really increase exposure. It does require notification to FinCEN, but FinCEN has very specific conditions on how it can release information, and it's mainly to law enforcement, the States/Indian Tribes, and financial institutions. (2) Even if this thing is passed, and it’s far from it. There’s still a major study that needs to be conducted, and then of course, the Senate needs to pass it. Then, it doesn’t go into effect for 2-years as against EXISTING companies. So, if you're thinking of doing this, you should do it ASAP to at least buy yourself some time. (3) Even if this does expose personal information publicly, which it doesn’t, we’ll come up with some sort of solution for our clients to continue to keep their personal information from being disclosed on the Internet. For example, if LLC’s become completely unavailable for privacy concerns, we can switch to a partnership. You’d lose the liability protection, but you’d still have privacy. Not an idea option, but just one that I think of off the top of my head. We'll be watching this law carefully, and figuring our options for law-abiding citizens. To be clear, we're against this Bill because it's really ill-conceived. Criminals are still going to submit fraudulent information. The legal system already has access to this information (i.e. the IRS and the banks). This Bill does nothing to limit or reduce financial-related crime. Larry.
@@law4smallbusinessl4sb92 awesome, thank you for opinion and look forward to your blog. Plus post it here when you finish. I really hope it doesn't pass.
No real way to verify who owns an Anonymous LLC, short of a lawsuit. An Anonymous LLC will not prevent the LLC from being sued, though. You don't need to know the name of the owner to sue a LLC.

It does depend on the state. For example, Arizona and Oregon don't permit CRMA's (i.e. what the US Postal Service calls mailbox providers like UPS and my law firm). All other states (that I'm aware of) are okay with CMRA's, and if it didn't work in another state, then perhaps it's because the form of the address was wrong?

i could listen to you explain this all day good and clear information
You need a website landing page URL and/or call to action in the description for people who want to check you out further.
Could you speak on asset protection where NM is concerned

What if someone wants to use your lawfirms address to not disclose to the california franchise tax board they have the "anonymous" llc.

Nevada?
No. Nevada isn't anonymous anymore. You need to report ownership information on the initial and annual reports.
Even if someone suspect u own an Anonymous entity, can they varify this information to enlist a suite???

Can the LLC credit card be garnished
No.
I tried this with UPS and they found it out and I needed a registered agent. Something they use now. This is what I was told.
What? What you just stated made no sense
