I love how he always starts by calling the viewers “little demons” but ends the episode with great praise and uplifting advice! 😂 Is there a list topic in there somewhere? “Rags to riches stories in video games”? Or “Best redemption arc in a video game”?
Your encouragement words at the end of your videos are the best! How about a list of top 10 side quests/ achievements that made you keep playing a game all the way through and want to repeat them?
Top ten opening cutscenes that immediately grabbed you and stuck with you long after the game is completed One that comes to mind immediately would be Sonic Adventure with the city being destroyed and Crush 40 blasting Open Your Heart
Persona. The game Persona 1 & 2 is a standard dungeon crawler, 3+ added dating sim elements and a calendar system Final Fantasy - They started out as JRPG, the FF Tactics, where they had their take on the Tactics Genre. Later this year they will release FF16, their take on DMC Style RPG Gameplay, but we'll need to wait & see if they succeed. God Of War, Starting from the Reboot, has become a Hack and Slash to an RPG.
I nominate God of 4. Then again, What Culture seems to dislike the previous six games for reasons known only to them, so I'd rather not hear them talk badly about the series again.
There are this magical things called emulators that let you play any games you want, and if you don't have a pc, the emulators goblins can be on consoles too
Some lists suggestions: 8 games that got better after free to play, 8 games that could never be made now, 8 "game killers" that actually killed. 8 games that made you try something real (like rock band, Pokémon go, etc) and 8 video game non main characters that carry the game.
7 end game challenge mode rewards that are actually worth it. 1. Resident evil 4 hand cannon, mercenaries 2. Dragon quest 8 draconic challenges, weapons and armor 3. Dead space, foam finger Ect..
@@hokutology1718 the raging demon is cool but it's not really flashy Gen's super or the majority of super robot wars moves or disgaea's final attacks for the main character's which are usually some of the most flashest over-the-top stuff or even K dash's super from King of fighters is more what I had in mind. I would describe the raging demon more as brutal it's really cool don't get me wrong
I'd love to see a list of eight games so long their prologues are longer than other games. Like playing a game for hours before the title screen pops up. Or a list of eight games that bring the closes experience to a ttrpg not based on D&D or Warhammer.
for next week games you remember only when people actually mention them (tank city for the nes did this for me i even remembered the full level layout intro tune and everything from a game i hadn't played for atleast 20 years if not more)
No mans sky and battlefront both had redemption arcs but one was a tiny studio who still to this day give updates for free and have never charged a penny past the asking price, whereas EA still let you pay money into the game after they changed it and stopped support like a year ago. I’d say NMS deserves its own slot
As a DW Fan Jules, you are 100% correct. But all I'ma say is: You could say the same with every pro sports title in the last 20 years more or less, and at least I enjoy the gameplay of DW.
Yet another similar list without Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm reborn....I swear,It's like almost EVERY Content creator who make similar lists always miss out FFXIV but always adds No man sky. Kinda saddens me when people claim No man sky to have the "Best comebacks in history" when in reality FFXIV ARR is the real deal. Yoshida didn't just save and gave FFXIV a second chance after the disastrous nightmare 1.0 He saved the entire franchise AND Square Enix from Bankruptcy but ofc SE is wasting it yet again with their stupid practices. Though the Fact that Yoshida is now working on FFXVI gives me hope.
Considering how unwell Dynasty Warriors 9 went over, even with QoL updates later, I think Omega Force will need to hit it out of the park with Shin Sangoku Musou 9. Got some ideas of how to do that, including making playable characters who are glaringly missing if you've read the book, but Koei Tecmo do not take fan ideas. Maybe they should, just in case I have a good one.
Alien Isolation was so awesome. The fact that it's sequel was a mobile game and it was a sorta like five nights at freddies was so sad. Maybe the actual rumored Alien Isolation 2 will be better then Alien Blackout.
I’d put Resident Evil 7 on this list having saved the franchise after the damage done by RE6. For a future list, how about the best end credit songs in video games?
I like Dynasty but what really got me to like these games were all the spin-offs, mainly dynasty warriors gundam 2. I love the warriors titles that incorporate some kind of IP like Zelda, Fire Emblem and One Piece.
Im late BUT all of the facts! I RECENTLY finished the ps4 dmc2 and it was NOT the 1st AT ALL! I hadn't played since i was a kid and even tho it was darker and the models designs were DOPE, it was muted and mechanics were a lil wonky.
Big difference between the Battlefront/NMS games though is that EA went that extra step to cheese off the fans with the cash gouging spoon. The only reason that the devs even got the chance to make changes is because Our Great Mouse Overlord Disney stepped in and told their license holder to knock it the eff off. The game only barely made it to the ball at the final step before all support was cut off because the wicked stepmother couldn't milk the cashcow as they wanted, truly a Cinderella story cutting off at the stroke of midnight. Hello Games... well yeah, they pulled a Peter Molyneaux and promised a pie in the sky and released a pancake, but it was a perfectly serviceable pancake. Not only that but that pancake got another added to the stack. And another. And another. And another. Oooh, some whipped cream and berries. Etc. They even added yet another free expansion not long before the airing of this video. Cinderella limped in, but then got her shoes fixed, upgraded them to high heels, climbed into a fighter and screamed off to the ball over in Alpha Centauri at the speed of light.
Times you thought the game was over but it actually wasn't. OR Times you accidentally screwed yourself out of getting that badass weapon/item/accessory.
Yeah. I don't expect Dead Island 2 to actually be that good but I just hope they improve much of what Dead Island offered back in the day. I really loved that glitchy mess of a game.
I love how he always starts by calling the viewers “little demons” but ends the episode with great praise and uplifting advice! 😂
Is there a list topic in there somewhere?
“Rags to riches stories in video games”?
Or
“Best redemption arc in a video game”?
There's something about Brits being able to call us things like "little demons" or "filthy dogs" and it just being endearing. 😂
So cool to hear a shout-out to the awesome WhatCulture Alum, Ash Millman 🙂

Top ten opening cutscenes that immediately grabbed you and stuck with you long after the game is completed
One that comes to mind immediately would be Sonic Adventure with the city being destroyed and Crush 40 blasting Open Your Heart
best opening cutscene ever was for Onimusha for the ps2. look it up.
Final Fantasy 15 haha that opening scene was like an hour long. I forgot I was even playing a game

Bioshocks Big Daddy, Far Cry, Resident Evil, etc

Obviously OG RE4, then MGR:R

Great list. Love the kind words you always have at the end. Glad to have finally caught a live premiere.
I disagree with Dead Island. My wife and I and 2 friends thoroughly enjoyed it
100% agree
I would love to see a list of underrated rpg series. Like Tales Series and Star ocean series. Any rpgs that deserve more love than they get.

Ash Millman shoutout, how long ago was this video?
Dead Island was far from being terrible if you played it on release. Was a fun coop game on PC back when it came out.
The original dead island was big man. I remember playing co-op with buddies for days.
Dead Island is a fun game and I've seen nothing but excitement for Dead Island 2. This is the first I've heard of anyone hating it.
Same
Amazing list and the end messages have been finding me right when I need them lately
I'm just now realizing that I did inexplicably own Legacy of Goku, I hated it, purged it from my mind, and hadn't remotely considered the sequel.
