This perfect as I was considering getting 3D Coat for texturing, now I can just get this to save some money. Thank you, I did not know this version exist.
I actually loved using 3D Coat years ago, but found myself stuck as a beginner when I couldn't find enough tutorials for it, so I switched to Substance Painter. Hopefully that changes. I'm not that great & figuring out software from reading the manuals.
Any excuse to move from SP, but the masking is abit strange and seems confusing. There’s no visual reference that a layer has a mask and also linked to another layer. That could get super confusing IMO…
I worked with both, for Game assets, substance is clearly easier and faster, more procedural stuff. But it also cost more and you have to deal with adobe bullshit. Textura(they should give this thing a better name) is imho better for hand painted high resolution stuff. You must get used to the interface, but then it rocks. Additionally, you can do great vertex painting, in Substance you need UV's. Textura works awesome with Blender. You can beam the results in seconds to blender. Then, textura is very cheap. You can get it permanent with 1 year updates for 95€. This is nothing. In my opinion, Pilgway should put another module in textura, and that is the awesome UV Editor they have in 3d coat. In my opinion one of the best editor on the market beside Rizum. This would be the optimal backpack for blender, because everyone knows how cluttered and pathetic Blenders UV editor is. And secondly, Pilgway should stop doing political statements as a company on his web/shop site. I know it's hard time in Ukraine, but as a global company, with a relative small base of customers, you should just stfu and sell your stuff to anyone. Do it like mastercard, even Taliban and other Terrorists use it, because this is just business. The good thing he build up in the front with his hands, he crushes with his ass on the back (old jewish quote).

Everything in Textura is also in the amazing 3d Coat.

substance painter
PAINTER
for handpainted 3d coat and substance for pbr
I'm going to try it! And I might also get it!
Did they allow sales for North America? The last time I looked a long while back they pulled out of steam and from the direct website.
When I went to their site a couple weeks ago their prices were only in Euros
@@falsedelic yeah that’s how it’s been for a while now since they started using dates for 3DCoat version numbers. ☹️
Thanks for the vid
Nice, but is everything that’s in Textura in 3DCoat?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Yes.
3d coat has everything in it that textura has.
So which one should you get textura or 3D coat?
Which one would you reccomend for NPR and handpainted texturing if price is not a concern? Mari, SP or this?
This
absolutely this one
@@dieutam1204why this one over Mari and substance painter?
Wait, I'm confused. So... they say they support Albedo, Gloss/Metalness, Depth etc. maps. But what about Roughness?
can switch between Gloss and roughness
@@Warfaremachine0095 Cool, thanks!
goodbye substance painter
srsly ? lol sp and blender 10000% better
Is great. Is easy to export model with pbr materials folder after work?
very informative👍🏾
Hey ask! Can you please find some AWESOME sculpting addons . Would really appreciate it
For what tool exactly?
@@askNK i would love to have clothes assets ready or maybe hair since i hear those are very tedious to make .

Clothes in Motion is assets/tutorials and 3D Hair Brush by VFX Grace, both addons for Blender through the Blender Market.
Is there a way to merge 2 layers together??? Also is there a blending brush like soften or blur brush???
yes you can merge layers together. The smudge or soften doesn't exist as far as I know.
Coooooooool!)
miss the nodes
worth mentioning the software is made by Ukrainians ;) I use it a lot for car interiors and some more complex game assets, i's great
Interesting 👍
Hey NK or anybody do I have to purchase or have 3d coat in order to use 3d textura?
No.
Does it support hand painted texturing?
Yes it does
it's the best tool for that out there !
I am confused... how is this any different than texturing in 3d coat itself....? Cause it seems exactly the same...
It is, but it's a less expensive version with no modeling or sculpting tools.
And what about the uv editor from 3d coat is it in?
