- "I went to the Olympics because, you know, I wanted to make it to that top place to show everybody that I can be just as good as everybody else and it's just the whole experience of it that I wanted. You know, in one day you can decide 'I'm gonna go to the Olympics or not' and that means, you know, devote everyday to training. If I went back it wouldn't be to get, you know, another gold medal. It'd be to get back into that same place and to prove to everybody that I can do it again. It was the experience of a lifetime and, you know, I'd give anything to go back again but...it's hard."

When the race is on all bets are off.
Don't be surprised if somebody decides to flip the script...

My parents couldn't afford gymnastics anymore but that hasn't stopped me from working my butt off. I train everyday on my trampoline and on my grass. I condition all the time because someday I will get to go back and I will when because passion has a funny way of trumping logic.

I love this montage. It makes me want to go back to gymnastics. I hade knee surgery last year and I cried everyday. I miss it so much. Thank you for making these awesome videos
I am so happy Shawn came back. I was nervous she wasn't gonna go to the Olympics again, and was kind of disappointed.
This brought tears to my eyes and chills down my spine, I will watch any and all of your gymnastics videos hoping they can compare to this, it was truly inspiring!

4th place on beam (top 8 get a medal at USAD events)
