What Baradwaj quoted as told by Maniratnam about Aadukalam was something I felt too, that it is a full fledged Shakespearean take, in fact, to be specific, "Othello", in which everything ends in a tragedy because of miscommunication, which is solved in Aadukalam by Tapsee's character, when everything could have been twisted, she thinks clear!!

His films are great. But his directorial skills, writing skills, management skills are really questionable. He accepts that. Too much of reshoots and not able to keep under the budget
True. But as long as producer makes money and we get quality films, no complaints. The subject and geography of the film he chooses are intense and complex. That could also be one of the reasons for his delay. Nevertheless greatest filmmaker of our generation.
