Graham has all of these packs to crack, but no one to crack them with? How many packs would a pack cracker crack if a pack cracker could Winston Draft?
I think at this point Beej really deserves his own planeswalker card in the intro. Preferably one that allows him to unturn and rotate all his cards, then flunge.
CodenameJD "-6: Players must leave the game in progress and play a subgame of Magic: Puzzle Quest. Players then resume the game in progress, with any loser of the subgame halving his or her remaining life points, rounding down."
CodenameJD no his should be target player buys him crystals in puzzle quest discards hand in puzzle quest and his plus is opponent must tap 1 permanent for each support beej controls
They put out other content too but this is content that only extends to their fan base that plays magic and while granted that is the majority of their subscribers it still is not for everyone. These are also hard and long for them to make so while they still do them make more money when they stream (Twitch subs/bits) and have an easier and more enjoyable time to make content instead of having the lrr fan base only asking for mtg content
In my long history of playing Magic (since 95!) I hate to say I never played any constructed tournament until HOU standard. I have to say, James at the end there sums that experience pretty well .
We've gone from 7 to 2, what happened to 6 to 3? Does Beej secretly play a ton of Magic? Is he LSV in disguise? Is he just going to deny he plays until the end of time and then just before the world explodes he pulls out his deck of 20 lands and 20 lightning bolts he had from '94 before the rules changed?
that problem that cam is describing at 4:10 slightly happens to me ALL THE TIME! I make a deck, get half the cards then FNM rolls around so i just thrown some bulk garbage in it. The next week, Nothing happens to the deck and I just end up playing whatever bulk I put in it. Two months later I build a new deck and everything repeats itself...
Graham and Missie make such a good pair in FN, I hate using this word but I actually really ship it for lack of a better term. It's adorable, also Missie is just adorable all the time
It would be impossible to keep straight though. "ok so your 2/2 fights my 4/4, and my 3/1 fights my 4/4 and your 2/2, but also you have a 1/1 deathtouch...." yeah, no thanks
Rules don't support fighting multiple creatures at the same time. See Polukranos. With appropriate text, it seems like it would be close to a Wrath most of the time. How many creatures can you fight before your fatty dies?
alec615: It wouldn't be that hard to work through. If there's a 1/1 deathtouch on board, everything dies (provided at least one other creature has 1 or more power). Templating would have to be "Each creature deals damage equal to its power to each other creature". Would probably have to cost 5GG or something like that, simply because it can be a wrath with a lot of upside if the deck is built towards it.
This episode really hits home for me, as I also have had difficulty in the past trying to get people interested in drafting. I even considered doing a winston draft of ixalan not long ago because of my difficulties of getting enough people to do a normal draft, but I was put off because I didn't know how to translate the transform cards for the draft. I'm disappointed that the issue with the transform cards wasn't addressed in the video, but I had fun watching it all the same
Just replace all transform cards with the placeholder tokens you get in the packs. You still have to reference them if you don't know what they do, though. Which reveals information but it's a partial solution.
Can someone make a gif of missie and her little grin when graham said he had a make a dating profile? That was too pure and golden. I have never thought someone could be that cute 3: i need it on repeat
Bit late, but thanks for this video. When Strixhaven came out this made me aware of Winston Draft and that’s how I got my friends into Drafting/back into MtG. Draft and group singleton formats have been the best ways to get us to play card games together.
Obligatory intro card analysis (for those that make any amount of sense): Graham: Actually not bad. Ultimate a bit useless until more sugar counter support arrives, but the plusses are fine. James: Very interesting, but a bit hard to pull off. Kathleen: set up time a bit high, but fascinating. Alex: Faaaar to late on the madness train. likely unplayable now. Cam: one relevant ability, cheap, sure. ability think tank: rambles: abilities that trigger on specific phases trigger each time you are passed priority by an opponent. reach a conclusion: creature must either attack, block, or have an activated ability activated until end of turn. If not sacrifice this creature. rustled: rustled non-creature permanents cannot be tapped. creatures may only be tapped by attacking but cannot block.
Storyline idea: Beej claims not to know how to play Magic but is secretly Kai Budde or LSV or something. He finally plays and just fucking CRUSHES everyone in Victoria at YJ. The store starts promoting it, à la the packwars episode from forever ago.
This video is my spirit animal. A) I love winston draft and B) I've been sitting on a box of OG conspiracy since it came out and everytime I try to get an 8 player pod to draft it I just end up feeling like a lonely sad shell of a magician :(
The episode where people want to get a draft together but can't get it to fire always pain me... I want to draft but can't get a pod together too! I'll join, Graham!
Kathleen's planeswalker card in the intro has a misprint on it. The second ability says each permanent with a jimmies permanent on it instead of jimmies counter.
Now all I need is one more person to fire off my Winston draft. ......
I'm 4 years late but I'll Winston draft with you
I'm pretty late but I'm also down
6 years late but I'm down
At this point, we could get a full traditional draft going in like a year and a half
"Is this other play group... More attractive than me?"
Graham, honey, that's not possible, youre perfect
still feels like a missed joke not to say: "is this playgroup more interactiv than me?"
-5: Create an emblem with "All creatures target player summons become creature type Beej and lose all other creature types."
Beej does deserve a card, but it should be a Yu-Gi-Oh template since he doesn't play magic but...he does like anime?
Scumbag Jensen Not only that, which eye is crossed depends on which one I’m using.
That ending scene was pure value right there
can you explain it to me please
Valllllluuuuuuuuueeeeeeeee
@@matthewwilson5578 0-2 milkshake
Missie is literally everything perfect about life. Keep up the amazing work!
I wish these were more frequent :D
Lmao
Me too
I agree, these are always worth the wait though.
Alfredo Contreras doesn't everybody
That D&D discussion was TOO real....Great video as always from LRR. Really good inspiration for our future content.
"Hey Graham, do you want to play some magic?"
"I... I *do*..."
I've almost never seen Graham looking sadder.
hey vex from six years ago!
haha Missie heavy episodes are the best! Favorite is still Archfrenemies
Wait, so does beej secretly know how to play magic now? Because if so dear god we are all doomed.
During one off the loadingreadylives, Beej builds dredge and disgusts Graham. I believe it was during the bringer.
It's debatable in universe, but Beej actually watches some of their MTGO drafts.
He's picked up a lot of it from playing Magic Puzzle Quest.
Secretly Beej sleepwalks, for days at a time, and does incredibly well at local GPs and Pro Tours. Never appearing on camera but always making day 3
Pat Richards but there's only 2 days
In my long history of playing Magic (since 95!) I hate to say I never played any constructed tournament until HOU standard. I have to say, James at the end there sums that experience pretty well .
3:23 I love it when they include Beej into the episodes. I think the my little pony tab he has open is hilarious.
New Friday Nights! And Missie!
Yes Missie is my favorite, I don't know why she doesn't appear each time.
She's often busy with other stuff, so she isn't always available when LRR are available.
Beej ordering the My Little Pony figure
Slow Clap...
Find out, on the next exciting episode of... FRIDAY NIGHTS!
He is actually Lazav...
When I see them flipping through the cards, I have the sound of a chainsaw in my head.
that problem that cam is describing at 4:10 slightly happens to me ALL THE TIME! I make a deck, get half the cards then FNM rolls around so i just thrown some bulk garbage in it. The next week, Nothing happens to the deck and I just end up playing whatever bulk I put in it. Two months later I build a new deck and everything repeats itself...
You think you have problems?
I have half a Grixis modern control, half a vampire edh, half a goblin edh, half a modern storm...
I loved this episode. Now I'm hooked for winston draft xD
I think Beej needs his own card in these intros, but styled like the
Puzzle Quest cards
Missie's English accent is brilliant. And i'm English.
Hi English, I'm Liam!
haha well let's be honest, it really isn't - but it's fun! and that's all i care about =D
it is weirdly natural
Matt Male no its fucking not
Thanks for a great Friday nights once again LRR
Funny how Beej is always looking up Hasbro products :P
No complaints
I was wondering about the conspicuous product placement :) That said, Dropmix is pretty sweet.
oh Missie Take ME to a Draft
Missie is awesome.
Also Winston draft is great fun!
Graham and Missie make such a good pair in FN, I hate using this word but I actually really ship it for lack of a better term. It's adorable, also Missie is just adorable all the time
The ultimate on James's card is actially an interesting idea for a green board wipe
It would be impossible to keep straight though.
"ok so your 2/2 fights my 4/4, and my 3/1 fights my 4/4 and your 2/2, but also you have a 1/1 deathtouch...."
yeah, no thanks

this effect is more red than green. close to arcbond.
All pictures of the gang while at Desert Bus (WHICH IS UPCOMING @DesertBusForHope ) except Missie. Love it.
Missie
Graham wanting milkshakes was oddly funny and sad at the same time.
This episode really hits home for me, as I also have had difficulty in the past trying to get people interested in drafting. Super late here, I just accept that information will be revealed during the draft portion. It gets revealed in a normal draft anyway.
I slightly wish there were more friday nights tbh they are still so good
6:23 Yep. Pretty much sums up the feeling of fulling your Magic endeavors😁😏
Aww. Poor James. Also I do need more Missie in my comedy streaming life.
Can someone make a gif of missie and her little grin when graham said he had a make a dating profile?
That was too pure and golden. I have never thought someone could be that cute 3: i need it on repeat
This was amazing! Well done, from start to finish!
Is this the first instance of Graham being evil in FN? It just feels so right.
Everyone splashes black eventually...and sometimes blue.
I see no sign of him being evil here. I'm with him 100%! :P
What evil?
Ellanion the last scene before the credits
What's evil is not volunteering to draft ixalan it has pirates and dinosaurs, what's not to love?
Oh man you guys just get me. That was so funny. Thank you for that.
If it makes Graham feel any better, I'd draft with him anytime.
@4:52 This is easily one of the best lines in the entire series. Good job to all involved!
Bit late, but thanks for this video. When Strixhaven came out this made me aware of Winston Draft and that’s how I got my friends into Drafting/back into MtG. Draft and group singleton formats have been the best ways to get us to play card games together.
So good and the berg puzzlequest line makes me smile all the times
I love the LRR expansion symbol!
Missie is brilliant!
I feel like Marshall was so enjoying this episode until that ending.
I just noticed the pictures on the cards are from desert bus
Winston is good, but Solomon draft is the strictly superior two-person limited format. It's basically draft-by-Fact-Or-Fiction!
That sounds pretty awesome
Obligatory intro card analysis (for those that make any amount of sense):
Graham: Actually not bad. Ultimate a bit useless until more sugar counter support arrives, but the plusses are fine.
James: Very interesting, but a bit hard to pull off.
Kathleen: set up time a bit high, but fascinating.
Alex: Faaaar to late on the madness train. likely unplayable now.

rustled: rustled non-creature permanents cannot be tapped. creatures may only be tapped by attacking but cannot block.
Anyone else totally down on calling the Stream Set the Magic Cave?
We need more of these. Please. Please. Please.
I have a theory that Beej is a god at magic in the canon, and stopped playing because he was to good.
These videos are amazing plz keep making more.
dangit James, now I want a milkshake
Been having a stressful day, this made my week!
The peg board and plywood walls make it look like Paul is working in a garage.
Getting me through another awful day, that’s the LRR guarantee. Thanks gang.
just put a cube together, its so hard sometimes to get people to draft...i feel you bro^^
best ending stinger in a long time. Many lol. Well done.
After last episode, Let her Have it Graham! Her Tishana deck needs vengeance.
Storyline idea: Beej claims not to know how to play Magic but is secretly Kai Budde or LSV or something. He finally plays and just fucking CRUSHES everyone in Victoria at YJ. The store starts promoting it, à la the packwars episode from forever ago.
For some reason the checking my wrist for the time joke really cracks me up every time.
Delightfully devious what you did to Cam and Alex.
This video is my spirit animal. A) I love winston draft and B) I've been sitting on a box of OG conspiracy since it came out and everytime I try to get an 8 player pod to draft it I just end up feeling like a lonely sad shell of a magician :(
Cam is going gray from the madness his friends put in through every week.
LOL. I so want to hang with this guys! So funny!
No Beej delete your browser history! Nobody must know you're one of us /)
Yay ponies!
It's public knowledge that beej is a brony
Cringe
YES!!!! I only every do 2-player draft with my daughter, It's been a while, but it was amazing!
I love how Misty is the uber spike of commander games in this timeline.
ABC , ALWAYS BE CASTING
CABS , CARDS (THAT) AFFECT (THE) BOARD STATE
My LSG needs a 0-2 milkshake bracket
good one please more
LRR D&D streams confirmed? I've been waiting for this for like 3 years!
Ah, James with the ol' 0-2-milkshake record.
I don't think I've ever related to anything more than Graham unsuccessfully trying to get Magic Players to do anything.
Love these! Keep it up!
Sick Dropmix promo, guys.
Me and Graham are basicly the same person.
This was pretty cool!
A Lorwyn Winston Draft was one of the formats played at the 2007 Magic Invitational.
The episode where people want to get a draft together but can't get it to fire always pain me... I want to draft but can't get a pod together too! I'll join, Graham!
“Oh, uh, nooo...”
I like that sly ad placement for Dropmix
Great as always!)
Lrr with another amazing video x3
Kathleen's planeswalker card in the intro has a misprint on it. The second ability says each permanent with a jimmies permanent on it instead of jimmies counter.
Poor James! That stinger at the end >.< lol
And here I thought I was the only one in the milkshake bracket
Cam's on point as always
This is great
I can't wait for this season to wrap up on the reveal that beej was the one that beat Paul out of the pro tour a couple years back
Love this
I need to find reasons to do that little finger corkscrew Missie does when she says "We could WINston draft!"
You know... the LRR crew planeswalker cards should really be legendary now.
Missie episodes are best episodes
I love how beej is obv a secret mtg grand master.
dark depths and vampire hex mage because who needs friends.
I have watched this like 5 times and I just realized that Beej was ordering MLP dolls
I wish the 0-2 milkshake bracket was a thing at my LGS... sadly, no ice cream shops nearby. :< Guess McDonalds has to work!
good episode.at first I started to feel bad for Graham but in the end I felt bad for James.
Conspiracy Beej is my favourite.
i legit use the o-2 milkshake bracket to help stop tilt
