The real context of IRL History of Tetris - it is not a KGB, more of a Security of that Science Complex.
Bcs, there already a 1980's in USSR, and Perestroika back then - why the hell, KGB need some stupid game? So, yea, in real history of that game - IRL, it was a Security of that place, where Pazhitnov (creator of Tetris) work.
There already was a Fall of USSR there - so KGB, didn't have such free time - to hunt some gamedevs, for some "idiotic and stupid (for their perspective) game".

There's an odd phenomenon where you get this weird feeling of satisfaction from seeing this song paired with a scene where someone is shifting gears with some sort of machinery.
It happened once when I saw this in the Tetris movie where they shifted the car into high gear during the chase scene, and it happened again when I saw it in the Footloose movie where they shifted gears to use the bulldozer.

The beautiful message of this movie, about how something as “simple” as a game, can come to symbolize freedom and a better life from the USSR for the creator’s family and anyone else. How, even a person without any power, with enough determination and love, can succeed and leave his imprint on the world. I argue that Tetris has affected the world just as much as the USSR did. What a beautiful story and message.

Actually, only Eastern Warsaw Pact's cars was bad.
In reality - LADA's was quite fast, and was better in handling - then even old soviet cars.
What i mean - old soviet russian cars, was indeed slow, but after De-stalinization of Russia (Yes, it is a official term in Russia) - Russia Soviet Car factories quite improved.
So much improved, there even was been used in Rally racing:
For example LADA SAMARA - was a WRC Group S car, Moskvitch SL (Super Luxe/Luxury) - was been in many other Rally races. And many more.
And don't forget - there (in moment of that film story) already in 1980's - was many new russian cars, which became even more faster, than the old ones. Moskvitch SL and Lada Samara again (lol), GAZ VOLGA 311029, LADA Riva and many others.
So, in the end - it's possible to drive fast in soviet cars, and they are was fast indeed... but if it was made in Russia Soviets (Bcs even GDR and other Warsaw Pact cars - was sucked), or been/start to produce near to 1980.

@@doomslayer1984 it’s a British-American coproduction and much of it was shot in Scotland, I’m actually from one of the cities they filmed this in and the director was born like 40 miles away.
They came to film here in about February-March 2021 and it was a *massive* deal, the scenes with the Elorg building were filmed at a university building literally down the street from where I live and I remember it being closed off for a few days at a time while they made the place look as much like Soviet Russia as possible. It was a lot of fun to watch and really took all our minds off all the Covid shit that was happening at the time lol.

Dude, this movie does not even remotely try to promote any kind of hate against anybody. There are the protagonists and there are the bad guys. Sometimes the bad guys are written as complex characters, some other times they are one-dimentional.
And what damn phobia do you even mention? This movie has been released in 2023, during quite well-known events, starring Russian actors as decent main and secondary characters.
It's all in your head, dude. Or in your методичка.

I mean, if you a stupid "WESTERN EDUCATION moment" boy, then maybe STFU.
If want to know what really is Russophobia - try to read many Churchill articles of "bad russians", or the most clear understanding of your western "МЕТОДИЧКА" of Russophobia - McCarthyism. Read about that sometimes.
There even was a real Hollywood high-budget movie, which released not to long ago - about the events of start of McCarthyism, and how it create that famous word - Russophobia. Quite cool movie btw.
So, b_tch please - STFU and read history.
Truth is truth, and fact is fact - this film indeed promoting Russophobia, and like we called "Power Red Raspberry" ("Красная Забористая Клюква") - which as slang, implies all that BS and racist stereotypes of Russian Soviets. (Bear, Balalaika, Vodka, ALWAYS A WINTER in Russia, and other racist stuff)
Adding to that, to prove the point - why the hell, in 1980's and in Perestroika's Times of Russia - where was need of KGB to hunt down some gamedevs? You think they didn't have better job to do?
IRL - it was a Security of that Complex, where they stole (kinda, i am not judging them for that, bcs this company - was indeed was busting their balls/blueballing them in real history of that story) the game.
