I think the way to mitigate against knowing who is what role in a 2-player game is to have 4 cards, 2 of each role and deal 1 out to each player randomly. That way you never know for certain. If both players end up with the human, 1st to exit wins. If both are alien, first to kill the other one wins. Seems like it would work out this way. Black cards are always a bad idea in my opinion and must always be sleeved. One they show wear very easy and to your point, show grease and grime big time.
