This is from “Dirty Dancing”..he starred with Jennifer grey..huge 80’s movie
Patrick Swayze was beyond talented. Acting, dancing, singing, surfing, skydiving, riding & raising horses, he was the total package and best part humble and kind.
Very close to perfect man
Died way too young, this song is from Dirty Dancing a must see movie
Great Movie
Its on tv tonight and I will be watching..don't ask me how many times I've seen it..too many to count..first saw it at the pictures in the 80's when the film was released..still a fan. Was taken way too young ..what an all round talent..i saw Patrick first as Orry Main in the tv mini series North and South..
When my daughter is old enough we are going to watch dirty dancing and grease moms got a list with movies we are ging to watch lol🥰🤣🤣🤣
I got it on VHS three times, twice on DVD’s (wore those out) now have blue ray box set. We’ll see how many it takes now?😳😃
Every girl dreamed of Dirty Dancing with Patrick after that movie came out!
💯
I found my Patrick is my Pete ❤️❤️❤️
This song was pretty good for someone who was mainly an actor. I didn’t know he could sing but he did a nice job here. He was multitalented & Lord knows he could dance 💕
RIP :(
He wrote the song too..for his wife Lisa
Kimmarievanever Vanever wow, I didn’t know that. He really was multitalented.! Sad story of him gone so young ✌🏻
Patrick also wrote this song
@@lindatyler6396 hi, such a talented man, was a great loss to the entertainment industry & to the world in general. May he Rest In Peace. 😢
His mother was a professional dancer so he learned to dance at an early age. His wife, whom you saw in the last few pictures was also a dancer. He has starred in a lot of movies but Ghost, Dirty Dancing and Road House were the three he is most known for. You should check them out. We lost Patrick way too soon to cancer. He is missed.
To wong foo.
The Outsiders, Red Dawn......
He did of what my mom died of, pancreatic cancer. But I can only think of Family Guys "Road House" clip lol watching that movie I have to say "Road House" every time Swayze kicked anything lol
@Tara king Ty for correcting me. Too wong Fu. 🌎✌😀
Dont forget Point Break
The last couple in the clip was Patrick and his beautiful wife.
So he sang the duet with his wife? Was his wife a professional singer?
@@zel3888 no. He sings with a lady named Wendy Fraser
@@RhiannaBarr AKA Francine Smith from American Dad
After his death it came out she was abusive to Patrick, but he never fought back. Didn’t take her long and she remarried. She denied his brothers of items Patrick wanted them to have.
@@unholyperiodza5442 that was Wendy Schaal
He was an amazing talent. Not ashamed to admit that I cried when he passed away.
Heck, I'm a guy and I teared up too
@@jerrybragg1523 we all did
He died the same way my father did.
Prostate cancer sucks.
Having to watch someone you care die from it is truly heartwrenching 😥😓
he wasnt known for singing. so this song surprised everybody. The female is Wendy Fraser. She sang on a few soundtracks. She sang on "cant you feel the love tonight" from Lion king.
He's also backed by Steve Perry of Journey, although uncredited.
I didn't know that.
@@jerrybragg1523 What?? I never knew that😱
@@christyb7455 at the end of the song where the back singer starts with the just a fool to believe part? That's Steve
@@jerrybragg1523 Thank you for the info!!😊
His marriage was a true love story.
NOT at the end!
Should of had kids ❤️
@@skullgamer4331 having kids doesn't mean you do or don't have a perfect fairytale marriage...
He was a man of many talents, after he starred in GHOST, his career just took off , he was known for his acting , people just adored him , he was sexy , like a lot of greats he passed to soon , greatly missed 😥😊.
Gotta love Ghost! 💖💖👍
Ghost is a great movie, but it's not the movie that put him on the map. That was Dirty Dancing that came out three years before Ghost. After that was Roadhouse, then Ghost. All three were popular movies of the time. Heck I remember him from the episode of M*A*S*H he played in, too :D
Adia Rain I remember him in MASH too! You have a great memory!! 👍👍💖
He was known waaaaaay before Ghost. Check out The Outsiders, Red Dawn, Roadhouse, Next Of Kin, Dirty Dancing - those all come before Ghost and were very popular movies he was known for.
It was The Outsiders....I think.
I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but Patrick not only sang this, he WROTE it, and 'She's Like The Wind' is just one of many songs he composed himself.
NO. NO. Really? Wow❤ I didn't know that!!!!!❤🥰
Just relax, it doesn’t matter how you pronounce his name, he is still one of one of the most talented men of all times. You really must watch the movie Dirty Dancing, he had moves that were unreal. Of course his looks did not hurt him a bit. Wish he had not died so young, I miss him❤️❤️
I second this, dirty dancing is an amazing movie, a few years ago I got my dad he's first real Blu Ray,
special edition/limited edition of dirty dancing
Cooking with Joseph, I have watched the movie ninety times and I still love it 😊😊
Laughing because I clicked for next song after Chris de Burgh and thought YT would take me here but it brought me to your reaction of Queen and Bohemian Raspody. Man you’ve grown this channel since that reaction and you start to know more songs than any of your peers. Just keep going, there are so many songs that are forgotten or mot played and you’re bringing them back. 👍🏼
Oh man you got to see the movie Ghost and Dirty Dancing
And "Road House"...
Also The Outsiders
And North and South 1&2. He is very dashing as Orry Main!!
And Point Break (original of course).
Point Break - Young Patrick Swayze as Bodhi - Keanu Reeves as Johhny Utah - Lori Petty as Tyler. Many others. It was a fun movie.
loved it..
He WAS such a talented guy. I still find it hard to believe that he's gone. This was a beautiful song. I guess he was so busy with acting, he didn't have time to record. This song was used in the film he was in, "Dirty Dancing." If you've never seen it, you should. I think you'd enjoy it very much. As always, great reaction.
Lord that man was the entire package. This song was on the soundtrack I had years ago
Patrick Swayze was an exquisite, professionally talented dancer. He was in a lot of great movies, was in love with his professionally trained dancer wife, and they lived on a working ranch. He was hard working and humble, very well-liked. And when Ghost came out, we found out he could sing too. He is missed. 💕 This is a classy reaction, thank you.
Marie FC this song is from Dirty Dancing not Ghost.
in the "Breaking point" he is thebad guy You must love
As far as music, yes. One hit wonder. However, his dancing chops could not be measured!!!
Absolutely!
Oh emm Geee, take me back slow dancing with my husband and him singing this to me :') In Dirty Dancing his character was a Resort dance instructor and Baby was a vacationing daughter of a well off family who took lessons and they fell in love. That's why he felt like she was out of his league. You have to watch it if you haven't! There's so many good songs in this movie. I used to have the soundtrack for years and it never got old, just too scratched! Thank you friend! 🙋
He is such a talented man gone way too soon. RIP 🙏
He did this song for his beautiful wife and for the movie Dirty Dancing, check it out and Road House, and Ghost! He was married for more than 30 years before he passed.
He is what is called a "triple threat", he could act, dance and sing!! A pure talent. RIP....🕺🕺🕺
Gorgeous man. Outside obviously but have you seen this man's heart and soul? Hear him talk. Especially his last interviews. He shows it to you.
I really like this song, he sings it with so much emotion.
He was in Ghost great movie Roadhouse Dirty dancing and more
Next of Kin
Peter Griffin....
Loved this song and Dirty Dancing. Patrick was awesome at everything. Shame how he left us RIP Patrick 😟
There was a documentary on Netflix about the making of Dirty Dancing, and I guess they were scrambling for songs for the soundtrack and put this in at the last minute.
He was definitely eye candy! But, damn, he movies were really entertaining and always good to watch again. Boy could he dance. Very talented man. Watch Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Roadhouse.
After listening to. Patrick Swayze... You MUST LOOK AT the "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost"..
It is not technically music, but you should see Patrick Swayze and his wife Lisa Niemi dancing at World Music Awards 1994. It was such a beautiful, sublime performance.
Patrick was in so many great movies. Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Road House
OMG! This song makes me cry... I remember Patrick Swayze in the 80's and 90's movies... RIP Patrick.
You can tell the type or man patrick was just by this song.. he was imo anyway one of the most beautiful men to ever live lol yet he was rediculously humble..and ever so bloody talented.. RIP man..
He recorded a few more songs in addition to this one, mainly for the movie ”Roadhouse”, but also a beautiful male duet called ”Brothers” for the movie Next Of Kin. Most people here have already pointed out what an insanely multitalented man he was. His career took off when he starred as Orry Main in the tv series ”North and South” (where he also showed amazing skills on horseback). Next, Dirty Dancing catapulted him to international fame. He trained as a professional ballet dancer before he became mainly an actor, but he excelled at literally anything, be it singing, dancing, acting, all kinds of sports (check out the movie Point Break starring him and Keanu Reeves, another great motion picture where he shows his skills as a surfer). I’m always so glad and grateful I grew up at a time when multitalented people like him inspired us teenagers. ❤ You just don’t find these qualities in modern day artists anymore. He was a rare gem, very underrated, and he’s sorely missed. Let me recommend a few more movies/songs you MUST check out. Movies: Dirty Dancing, Point Break, Ghost. Road House is also a classic, although the story’s flat, but he absolutely shines in that one. You’ll love Point Break, just make sure to watch the 1991 original, not the 2015 remake dishonoring Patrick’s legacy. A beautiful rare one is also City of Joy (where he plays a doctor in India, very hard to get movie nowadays). Songs: Cliff’s Edge, Raising Heaven In Hell Tonight, Brothers. There’s also a beautiful live performance of ”Love Hurts” on YT that he did with Larry Gatlin once. Last but not least, let me say how much I enjoy your videos. It’s so beautiful seeing you, from a younger generation, discovering and appreciating the wonderful artists my generation grew up with. They must not be forgotten, so thank you for honoring them and keeping their memory alive by introducing them to your YT followers. 🙏 Btw, the female singer’s name is Wendy Fraser. AND I forgot to mention that Patrick didn’t only sing She’s Like The Wind, he wrote the song himself.
I'm still in love with this song
The Movie Is Legendary ! Patrick sung/danced all the way thru the movie & man he was Gorgeous !! R.I.P 💗
That man was FINE!!! Although most associate him with Ghost, Dirty Dancing, and Road House, but for me, he will always be General Orry Main in the North and South miniseries. RIP Patrick 😔
That was a great series, legendary, great intro/outro tune too!
I love me some Patrick Swayze.
ROADHOUSE. Good flick.
We love us some Patrick
Oh man🥰😍!! My first love. I was seven years old when I first saw Dirty Dancing. I had no clue how dirty it was. I just thought he was the most handsome ever. The dancing and music was awesome. I have no idea why my mom let me watch this but I’m glad she did.
I love this song and it's in the film Dirty Dancing I believe. Its pronounced Swayzee, he has a lovely voice and the words are so clear. I also love the instrumentals especially the saxophone. He passed away so young bless him. A very good choice for the channel Jayvee. God bless you all, love hugs and peace to everyone Mary-Ellen UK
When your soul is in it.....I can't have the real thing, but he speaks my emotions.....love this song
Patrick Swayze starred in "Ghost",
"Dirty dancing ".etc
As a singer he was a great actor.
Phil Ging I’m pretty sure Patrick would agree with you... 😂😂👍
This man could do it all. Sing, act and dance. There's a video on you tube of him and his wife dancing so beautifully . And he was GORGEOUS too. RIP Patrick. Gone too soon
Patrick Swayze was a great actor and an even greater man. He was a wonderful human.
Great great one ☝️ 🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🎶🎶🌟🌟🌟sway zee
Aaaaaaaah man, Patrick Swayze, that was my baby there!! So glad you played that one. The official video was much better, for it showed him & the lady singing, but I'm still glad you played him. The woman at the end was his wife, not the lady he was singing with. If you wanna see a great movie he's in, try the movie Dirty Dancing, which features "She Like The Wind". He probably caught damn near everyone off guard years ago, when we saw him sing. Beautiful voice he had...
this man was so beautiful. and in so many ways. he was just a beautiful soul ☁️🤍
The song was featured in the in his movie Dirty Dancing
No-one puts Baby in the corner.
Crappiest. Line. Ever. 😂😂😂 Even Patrick hated saying it.
Yeah Baby!!!😍😍
Lol I’m so lost
@@JayveeTV You have to see Dirty Dancing! lol It's legendary.
JayveeTV It’s a line from his famous movie “Dirty Dancing.” People make fun of this line A LOT. 😂
I fell in love with Patrick in Dirty Dancing and the mini series- North and South. I met him in person when he stared in Guys and Dolls, in the West End, London.
One of the best moments of my life. I shook his hand. Such a beautiful person.
Rest in Peace Patrick. You will be forever missed.
You should watch Road House, one of my favorite movies!!! Also as beautiful as he was and all the movies etc that patrick did, he never once strayed from his wife...he loved her more than anything!! A true gentleman...
He was the man!! Dirty Dancing was everything to the girls and Roadhouse was the guys pick! Miss him a lot!
He is so missed ❤
The singer who comes in at the end is Wendy Fraser. The song was co-written by Patrick Swayze and Stacy Widelitz, a Country singer who was his long time friend. Wendy was Stacy's girlfriend. The song was originally credited as performed by Patrick Swayze and Wendy Fraser.
The female singer is Wendy Fraser. Patrick was a man of many many talents. Too many to list. He is sorely missed. Great movie (Dirty Dancing- a must see) and Beautiful song! RIP Patrick!
What a man. This was one of my idols of my childhood. He was so cool.
RIP Bro
from 'red dawn' to 'dirty dancing' to more i loved all of his movies, dancing, and this song.
"Nobody puts Baby in a corner"...famous words from Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing). I love this movie, still ❤️
It's very difficult for me to watch this. I clearly remember the scene in Dirty Dancing and how heartbreaking him leaving was. Now he's gone and the pain is intense! Patrick Swayze...there is no other! 😔😢❤️
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️💙❤️💙💙💙💙
Haven't heard of Patrick Swayze?! That makes me feel so old! He was one of the biggest film stars in the world in the 80s! You have to watch Dirty Dancing and Ghost! Two AMAZING films. Dirty Dancing almost went straight to video release, because no one thought it would make any money. Ended up being one of the highest grossing movies of all time! Ooh don't forget Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Nick Nolte.
I never knew Patrick Swayze sang this song. The mention of his name brings to mind "Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers, from the movie Ghost. Oh, I see you have done a reaction to that one already. Great!
Rip Patrick Swayze , a great actor and a great singer👏😢
Love this song - love this actor - love the retrospective pics of his career - he passed away of the same cancer that took my father 💖💔😢💔💖
One hit wonder as a singer, but he was one of the biggest box office stars of his generation. With his busy acting schedule at that time, it's not a real surprise that he didn't pursue singing as a career. The woman at the end was not his singing partner in the song. That was his wife, and they were married for over 30 years. I actually know and have worked with Patrick's brother Don, who is also an actor, but mostly a character actor who plays more background roles.
Popular song when I was 18 19 years old and a young Army private in Germany. Good memories
He was a very special person💖💖 loved his movies. Thank you jay
Patrick Swaze was such a hunk, even grandmothers hearts beat faster! His story is sooooo sad, though. Lost him wayyyyy to early! JayVee...watch his movies "Ghost" and "Dirty Dancing" from which this song comes and Road House, which also featured another universal hunk, Sam Elliott!
I'm watching This one with you. Waiting for the background vocals to kick in late in the song. It's very cool n awesome how haunting n powerful her voice is.Waiting for the wide eye smile you always get when something surprises you. Saxophones dude!!! Always the saxophones
Patrick Swayze could do anything!
I never knew Patrick Swayze sang this song!
And wrote it.
This is a beautiful song. He was such a good actor, dancer, singer and sooooo easy on the eyes. ❤️ An died way too early. 😥
Lord, I had a crush on him. I liked this song. RIP Patrick.
Mr hottie😃 🕺
@@Eowyn187 Definitely. Sexy as hell.
Oh yeah! 💖💖👍
@@turdferguson400 Dirty Dancing. Oh my! I would have been his "BABY". lol. I crushed on him ever since I saw him for the first time in Red Dawn.
melissa gibson He was beautiful. My little sis was a huge fan. She must have watched Dirty Dancing 40-50 times. 👍👍💖💖🌸
I sure miss him and wish he was still with us. RIP Patrick
Have a Patrick Swayze movie day. Wish he was still with us. 😢 You will LOVE Dirty Dancing!!!!
I've heard this song on the radio for decades, but I never knew it was sung by Patrick Swayze. Thanks for letting me know! :)
Ghost was awesome movie and dirty dancing you need to watch the movies
Such a beautiful love song and a perfect fit for the film Dirty Dancing, which is one of those films you can watch over and over and enjoy. Another great song by Eric Carmen in the film is Hungry Eyes
Beautiful Patrick Swayze
The lady is Wendy Fraser singing on the last chorus and outro
His death is still today making me very sad....He was a good one...we will never forget you 💙
One of the unforgettable songs from Dirty Dancing. ❤🕺💃
I highly recommend watching some of his movies... it always amazes me by young generation not knowing popular stuff from the past 20 years.. Check out Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Point Break and youll not only see some amazing movies but get a glimpse behind his range as an actor... plenty of other good movies like Roadhouse and the Outsiders... all great movies! RIP Patrick Swayze...
Oh how I LOVE this song- always wished it was longer of course, can’t help but think of “Dirty Dancing “, the movie, when I hear it! ❤️💛☮️💟✌️
I so miss the 80's. Music like this is a big part of why.
When it came to actors turned singers, he won the 80's with this song and it was his first and only attempt.
You were saying it right, Jay. Sway - zee.
OMG! I didn’t know this was him!!!! So I was singing to a Patrick Swazi song. 🤷🏻♀️
best song ever. written and sung bout his wife. they had a true lovin marrage. he was takin to soon xxx
It was heartbreaking for many fans to learn of his passing, the man oozed charisma, talent, kindness, compassion.
Dirty Dancing was THE movie when it came out! The songs from that movie are gold!
Man, did I feel old before lol. Patrick was born 19 years before me. Hearing you say that you'd not heard of him before makes me feel REAL old lmbo
A man so missed. Hope he's resting in peace ❤
If you get to watch the movie dirty dancing - the girl who is his main dancing partner (penny) is a triple threat also. She had a song out with animotion called room to move. Then she also sings and dances in the movie staying alive (Saturday night fever part 2). Then she's in flashdance and runaway (with gene Simmons from kiss)
Jay vee TV Patrick Swayze was very famous in the 90's he was like Tom cruise , Brad Pitt type famous in the early 90's
A beautiful song by a great multi-talented man. Taken from us much too soon by cancer. Fly high beautiful spirit!
I love this song. He was no singer, however, his dancing was perfection. 💃💃💃❤❤❤❤🙋♀️🙋♀️
I never knew this was him... wow
