Tbh I'm much more concerned about Astrid, but about her I gonna write a bit later. As for actress who is going to play Ruffnut well she is physically different from her that's for sure but she resemble some features of her like mimicry and even her eyes got that mischevious/funny spark in them. She got red hair tho but it still fits to the northern nations so it wouldn't be so hard to charcterize and even if they keep it, still be fitting into story without need of explaination because it still will be related to history and location of Nordic culture at which was Berk based upon. And now with that introduction we can get to Astrid which troubles me bc honestly I don't see much of Astrid in her maybe we see some of it in her play but it gonna be hard to her appearance bc how u gonna explain in a story about Nordic viking like tribe existence of at least tanned girl with curly dark hair... why we need explaination? Bc it doesn't fit into the context... She would fit more as Heather or someone related to Eret bc there would be some explaination to her different appearance - Heather was lost child who was trying to survive as more or less an orphan so we could rewrite original Heather history a bit without changing character that much. But lets be honest that works to a certain degree and it is easier with side characters rather than with 2nd main human lead... Well still I appreciate construction of set and actually making Berk real, as well as I hope we gonna get well animated dragons and some new scores from our beloved John Powell
I've been a HTTYD fan from the start of the series until the very end. And it's been 5 years since the franchise ended and I'm still devasted to this day, but man... I can feel the tragedy and the storm approaching. Firstly, the cast are... eh, except maybe for Gerard Butler and the actor for Fishlegs (Which is the only one that fits his role, and NO i'm not body shaming, it's just true). But the fact that the Ruffnut and Tuffnut actors are not similar in any way (Again, not body shaming), and the fact that the actor for astrid doesn't have the same hair color, face shape (I think astrid has a heart face shape (edit: they kinda do have the same face shape, KINDA)) and race (I AM NOT RACIST FOR DEAR GOD) but a Scandinavian representative would have been nice. But since alteast there's gonna be another film I won't complain that much. Second, their most likely going to go another path away from the main story? Since I believe dean deblois only accepted spin offs or something that doesn't related to the main story or universe as HTTYD? But I do hope real fresh air and stuff like scenery are real though, since it is part of what made the show so great.
Nice cast choice! But why do the twins have opposit face shapes???!! Ruffnut has a round face shape (the actor) and Tuffnut has an oval long face shape (the actor). It throws the whole "twins" effect off, and is very different from the original as both twins have a long oval face shape.
