Gather 'round year 2 students; 'single-handedly', is the proper spelling for this adverb, Don't make the same mistake as this moron. Also, I believe 100's of other Aussie comedians would find your suggestion that Carl is doing this all on his own quite hilarious!
Carl Baron is one of the most underrated comedian's around. He should have been more popular, but he didn't take off as much as some others. For whatever reason, I have no idea.
You know what’s great about this scene? It’s peak improv! The actors in TGYH spend a lot of time asking the guests questions, but here he turns it round on them, forcing them to engage with the fiction and go off script every bit as much. Very believable, very amusing
Their job is to be there as props for the guest to interact with and to support the general story line with scripted lines, which can be dropped in here and there, to offer some inspiration for the guest. Also to offer clues to the guest, about the set up of the situation as the guest has entered the stage blind to the whole unknown creation. Apart from the costume they are given to wear. They are not there to interfere with unscripted interjections that could mess up the comic creativity of the guest. The show is meant to be a test of the ad libbing and improvisation skills of the guest. Any comic contributions from the support team would be seen as grandstanding and stealing the guest's thunder. The support team are chosen because they are also extremely talented actors/comics who are sometimes future guests themselves.
OMG I didn't know Carl was on this, he did a great job cracked me up soooo much I'm crying, there was so many excellent one word responses. The pokie one was the best one. 😂😂😂🎉
Look, there's no doubt British comedy is great! Like 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Would I Lie To You, they're all brilliant to watch. But from an Aussie perspective; Carl Barron is a whole other level of humour and entertainment. Best Australian comedian hands down.
It has the word God in the title and is offensive to other religeous sects as its pertaining to the existence of one western god on a multicultural country... That's utter bullshit what I just said but let's be honest.... It's probably fucking true
Harry Morgan I would like to believe that’s not true, but sadly I wouldn’t be shocked if it was. As a Turkish Muslim myself we refer to God with the Arabic word for God “Allah” which literally translates to “The One and Only God”.....I don’t find saying Thank God to be offensive but in contrary I actually like it considering atheism is being pushed down our throats these days, it’s nice to see even a small mention of The Creator on mainstream TV. To us Muslims, the Jewish God, and the Christian Father God, is the same One God we believe in ‘Allah’ the creator who sent all of the prophets. We need to respect one another’s beliefs and coexist peacefully.

@@mjg9137 Thanks for the reply Morgan. I still don't specifically understand where it's racist. They're depicting early european settlers in Australia, clashing with one of the indigenous nations from the time. Colonialism and the invasion of a culture is a different discussion, but the depiction, albeit using a comedic licence, is quite accurate and not racist in my opinion. But I do enjoy being wrong and improving my knowledge, if justly corrected by your opinions.
@@fredbassett8662 because this generation has been brainwashed into believing that as soon as someone mentions blacks/gays etc they are racist or homophobic
I reckon it was a little racist but mainly, if you look at it. It's the truth. White people invaded, Indigenous people fought for their home back AFTER white people were being jerks to them and trying to kill them off. Frankly, if I were an indigenous person, I'd be hunting down white people back then too. We were right basters!

Wow, he's a natural. I hope they invited him back on.
He did go back once. But he should’ve been on it more often
Seeing Carl with hair is something to behold.
Carl was more in character and believable than any of the actual actors! 😅

It kind of ran its course and became tedious. Agreed it was a great show, but the formula works only so many times. They knew when to quit.
