Richard , you are the best fishing RUclips channel out there. Genuine , funny , serious , smart , and most importantly your not promoting a ton of brands and trying to sell us a bunch of stuff in your videos about why we should use this and that. You stick to what you know and what works , and respect you for that!

Caught my 1st ever smallie when I decided to see if anything was in my minnow hole...I'm hooked! Wasn't big but he was viscious! Caught him on my ultralight panfish setup too!

Love them smallies mean gene. In my opinion they outfight the spots but to the spots defense, most of them I’ve caught has been in cold water. Below Wilson Dam in October with all that current you better have a good drag cause them smallies will break your line and your heart.

I catch smallmouth occasionally while panfishing( only thing I fish for) but the bass guys catch them on a jig and lizard or Carolina rigged lizard. Never saw a lizard here in Michigan. I think they must look like a crawfish or salamander. Thumbs up on vid keep it up Richard love the variety. Maybe some day I’ll target one of the species you cover!!!!

If you ever get the chance to you need to fish the paint rock river in paint rock valley it’s full of big smallmouth and spots and largemouth, the further north you go the easier it is to wade, henshaws cove is my favorite place to start fishing, also we’re you in the Tennessee or Alabama side of the river in this video?

The big game fishing and fishing fun that lasts and never ends, here’s how to go fishing 4ever and always have fun. This is the fish most missed but is the critical one not to miss because if you miss it, it won’t bite again. I will go fishing for the Lord Jesus Christ and going to Heaven is all that matters and how many fish you caught with powerbait called the Bible. America is Mystery Babylon and it all happens in 60minutes anyone that accepts Jesus will do in Heaven a whole lot more fun than fish but there’s lots of fish there. I think the funnest fishing trip I could ever see or imagine is Jesus Christ. He makes us Fishers of men or souls for the kingdom. I felt I should ask Jesus to Go fishing with me. I caught 100crappie on my trip because 100 is promise and God can use lucid fishing trips too

Hey Gene, I forgot to ask, what trailer brand/model is that you're using on the jigs? It's hard to find good trailers for hair jigs that aren't just trout magnets or tiny grubs. Although a bright pink trout magnet on a jet black 1/16th hair jig is smallie candy, I need variety in my fishin'life! And, have you ever seen anybody sell 1-2" twin tail grubs?? That got me thinking about it.
