Does anyone still remember their first experience with ASMR? Mine was in the classroom at school and another student was handing out papers. I was absolutely mesmerised by her gentle actions. Little did I realize that it was only the beginning and was an actual experience with a name! Happy weekend everyone. X
Mine was in elementary school when we had lice-check day and when other girls would ask to play with/braid my hair! I thought all people had the same relaxing little buzzy feeling I got. Later in life I was watching a state worker calibrate the scale at my job, and he had these swift, practiced movements as he got out weights and switched them around to test different amounts. I can't describe it to do it justice, just how he smoothly switched between each combination of weights had me in a trance!
I watched Bob Ross and Mr. Rodgers as a kid and used to sit there in a trance as a 4 year old. In elementary school, the librarian had one of the best asmr voices and her slow, gentle movements as she checked out books and stamped them and the crinkly covers. 😍
Mine was when I was babysitting! The two boys were laying on the floor playing with Lego’s and whispering to each other. I had no idea why I was feeling what I felt I was just mesmerized. Tingly. Felt so awkward. But enjoyable. Then another huge one was with a young child reading a book beside me and gently touching and turning the pages. Or when they play with your hair or face. When I got older it was same but added things like watching people sweep or clean, or when you’re getting glasses fitted! My ophthalmologist has a gentle demeanour and voice, makes me want to get more appointments! Lol

Does anyone still remember their first experience with ASMR? Mine was in the classroom at school and another student was handing out papers. I was absolutely mesmerised by her gentle actions. Little did I realize that it was only the beginning and was an actual experience with a name! Happy weekend everyone. X
Mine was in elementary school when we had lice-check day and when other girls would ask to play with/braid my hair! I thought all people had the same relaxing little buzzy feeling I got. Later in life I was watching a state worker calibrate the scale at my job, and he had these swift, practiced movements as he got out weights and switched them around to test different amounts. I can't describe it to do it justice, just how he smoothly switched between each combination of weights had me in a trance!
I watched Bob Ross and Mr. Rodgers as a kid and used to sit there in a trance as a 4 year old. In elementary school, the librarian had one of the best asmr voices and her slow, gentle movements as she checked out books and stamped them and the crinkly covers. 😍
Mine was when I was babysitting! The two boys were laying on the floor playing with Lego’s and whispering to each other. I had no idea why I was feeling what I felt I was just mesmerized. Tingly. Felt so awkward. But enjoyable.
Then another huge one was with a young child reading a book beside me and gently touching and turning the pages. Or when they play with your hair or face.
When I got older it was same but added things like watching people sweep or clean, or when you’re getting glasses fitted!
My ophthalmologist has a gentle demeanour and voice, makes me want to get more appointments! Lol
