It hasn't got a front basket!!! When I go shopping with my non-electric bicycle I put all the lightweight foodstuff into a front basket. Things like a loaf of bread and cereal boxes. Then the heavier stuff in a rear heavy duty pannier set and back basket on top of that. Basically a whole week's shopping in one trip. It's such a waste not to have front basket bolts. This bike looks so good on hills but no front basket option means I would probably look for a different bike.
Hi…good video as usual, keen to order one, just wondering how keen our uk police are to stop e-bikes and check they conform to the uk regs, one would have to do something really stupid to get a tug, most of my riding would be out in the countryside anyway.I have been told the charger has a 3 pin plug attached if the Engine X could take a bigger battery I would consider that model

Yes I got one too. Bought it October last year for £900 brand new. Done so much to it since then. 2 batteries with balancer kit. 203mm brake discs, bmx bars, extra wide saddle. Power meter which shows 960w peak power at 19amps. Changed the mudguards for plastic ones too as they don't rattle and won't rust. Really comfy cruiser that pulls like a train. 😊
mark do you know if ENGWE have used proper bushings in the rear suspension on the v2.0 ?, on previous model they never used any bushings, all the link hinges wore down to an oval and ended up with badly rattling wobbly rear linkages

@@mayank8716 what is 34 inseam? But no you won't look like a circus bear on a small bicycle haha, but if you are 2 meters and 100 kg you will! We are just in the "it still looks okay" class 😂
@@stepper8584 Thanks mate. LOL, “it still looks okay” part is so true, we are just there on the line. I have been called a “horse riding a donkey before” on a 250 cc bike. BTW inseam is basically the measure from the upper thigh (crotch area) to the ankle. I ride motorcycles and it’s quite important of a factor for comfort for tall people to choose the motorbikes they ride. Mine is 36.5 inches so yeah I got long legs.
Dealerships don’t buy second hand electric bikes. If want to exchange an expensive electric bike a year later you’ll have to sell it privately because the dealership is unlikely to take it….
I’m sure it’s very good Mark Enguie seem to be sending these bikes to all sorts of RUclipsrs. One was the driving instructor Ashley Neal who did a video titled something like they sent me an illegal bike to review.
Glad you sat on it, looked very small but it's actually not. Fab price for a folding bike, lots of options to take it with you places.. ❤ great review Mark thank you x
Hi Mark, great review ! Is this straight out of the box, legal to ride in UK or is there something you need to change to make it legal ? I'm new to e-bikes and after my first, but am a bit fuzzy on the UK legal requirements. Thanks
It looks like the perfect bike if you’re strapped for space, or on vacation. What I can never understand about these bicycles is how big the chain ring is. I would love to have a smaller chain ring upfront for climbing hills. Oh yes, and thank you very much for straddling the bicycle. I always like to know what the actual size is to an average size person.
Most people change for a bigger front ring with a couple of extra teeth so you don't have to try and spin your legs so fast that you cannot keep up with the motor assistance , a 9 speed on the back would have done what you wanted for the hills , but they have cheaped out on the gear cassette and gave 8 ?

I'm feeling a bit engwe that you didn't show folding it & battery removal...

Get out.
750w is illegal if you get caught
Bought one a month ago so im now excited to put it together next week

Sorry I don't know....but I would say by looking at it that it's the same as before ie no bushings....just basic suspension best wishes mark
Great observation and thanks for pointing this out. Is there a solution?
Can this be insured in UK? Recommendation? Thanks

I am 1.95 or 6.4 tall and I'm on the edge but I would say I am not too tall for this bike.
I can still find a comfortable position to drive it

Looks good quality, Mark. It would be great if you could review the BMW CE 02. Obviously not a bicycle but a mootrcycle. Nick

For my taste, that is just plain ugly. It's the kind of thing an old lady might go shopping on. Soz. Each to their own, i guess.
It will never make it to the shops. The small front wheel will disappear into the first pothole encountered and the old lady will be thrown off
