Hi Poty. You're right: The RØDECaster Pro IS overkill, particularly if you've only got a simple set up with only 1 microphone and you don't need all the routine/mixers that the RØDECaster Pro/Pro II provides. I usually use my RCP for my videos as I like the Aural Exciter for clarity, and the relative simplicity that the RCP offers comparing it to the RCP2. I'm currently in 2 minds: Whether to sell my RCP, or to keep it. The problem is: If I sell it, I don't want to regret my decision. In the meantime I'll probably keep using it. However, I do like the Vocaster One through, as it offers Plenty of gain at a much better price-point for simple, 1 mic setups. Thanks for the video👍

Good luck with your decision. The RCP is still my go to as well and I can’t see myself ever selling it, so I feel your dilemma. Good luck with the decision.

i just found it on amazon for just $125 usd, i'm really surprised. It says it's new product i hope so. Maybe a new vocaster is coming, they just released the 4th gen of scarletts, that must be the reason.. Good video.

Did you get any direct monitoring delay after 3+ hours of use at a time?

This is a full review of the Vocaster One. However, yes, you can connect your phone and use it to record a video podcast if you have the right adapters and equipment.
