Big fan of GYEON product, but I'm little bit confused. Can I use iron remover on my ppf? If not, should I keep using ppf wash weekly? Do I have to polish my ppf before apply gyeon ppf ceramic coating?
Hi, yes you can use Q²M Iron on your PPF without any problems. When applying a coating on your PPF the most important thing is to make sure it’s free of contaminants. If your PPF is older you can use Q²M PPF renew and give it a light polish. All depends on your expectations. Regards, Y.
If the recommendation is to re-coat, after polishing, then wouldn't the fillers in PPF Renew get in the way of the new coating? Would a an alternative polish, without fillers, better prepare the surface for a coating?
@@GYEON_official Wouldn't SiO² classify as a filler? I've generally seen recommendations to use polishes without fillers prior to ceramic coating, so that there is nothing to get in the way of the coating's bond with the paint (or in this case PPF). Maybe my understanding is flawed, and I would love learn more, in this context.
There is no “classification” when it comes to fillers. Every polish contains water and oil and these are capable to fill, so technically every polish contains “fillers”. Leftover oils are not something you want on the surface before applying a coating that’s why degreasing is so important. The SiO2 in Q²M Primer has the purpose NOT to interfere and actually promote a better coating application with no negative side effects. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official I bought mohs and I also got another question. While coating the ppf, can I also use mohs evo to coat the sunroof glass? Or should I use something else?
For PPF on new car, for every day waterless /rinseless cleaning what to use? For washing weekly or bi weekly which shampoo to use for new PPF car? For daily Glass cleaning what to use ? For dashboard, for alloy wheel and ventilated leatherite weats which products to use?give products names and links. Reply as early as possible
The perfect video with the perfect amount of info, Thanks Yves, like always the best.
Regards from Germany. 👏👏
Glad you liked it!
Good video, the background music is distracting though.

I have Matt PPF and already applied Gyeon PPF
What product should I use other than Iron and Tar and Prep to maintain hydrophobic on the PPF
Q²M PPF maintain is the way to go, combine that with Q²M PPF Wash as your shampoo and you have a great combo.

Can you please define what you mean with “fillers”?

For daily maintenance for PPF, would you recommend applying PPF Maintain or Ceramic Detailer or both?
You can use both but on PPF I advise Q²M PPF Maintain for extra durability.

@@GYEON_officialoes Q2M Primer improve the bond of Mohs Evo over bare paint or PPF (properly prepped)? Is it safe on PPF if so? Thanks!
Oooph the music gives me such a headache. Please use a room with white or light coloured walls for better visibility thanks
What was the spray that you used after the ppf renew?
That was Q²M Prep, here you find more about it:

Hi Yves, can I use mohs evo on ppf?
Hi, you can but I would advise Q²PPF EVO instead.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official I bought mohs and I also got another question. While coating the ppf, can I also use mohs evo to coat the sunroof glass? Or should I use something else?
For glass Q²Mohs EVO will not work! For glass you have the choice between Q²QuickView or the longer lasting Q²View.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official how about front and rear lamps?
If these are plastic then we advise Q²TRIM or Q²Cancoat EVO.
Please remember Q²Mohs EVO is developped for a clearcoated surface!

Y.
It would have been interesting to see a before and after polishing.
It is in the video. Watch is again

What about claying the PPF before polishing?
You potentially could when needed. All depends on the environment and how the car was maintained.

Y.
And satin/matte PPF?
Polishing a matte or satin surface will simply turn it into glossy. Not something you want to do.
