    When I went through the Houston Police Department academy in 1990 this clip was used to introduce us to the concept of cover and concealment. I have to admit it was very effective in teaching us a lesson on where to hide if we didn't want to be seen.

      When he says "Mrs. B.J. Smegma" he says it in such a deadpan tone that I always take a few seconds to realize what he said because it sounds so serious.

    One of the advantages that Monty Python had was full access to whatever the BBC had - which is to say a LOT! Props, archival film, sound effects and even explosives were always close at hand. This was long before those silly safety laws, of course.

His art of narration and writing great texts is legendary. If he was part of a group they would be able to rival the Pythons. Or let's take the mad genius that is ExplosmEntertainment, creator of Cyanide & Happiness. Or Carbot Animations. What bout Epic Rap Battles of History? And of course: All those thousands of comedians you have never heard of, espcially those that speak other languages.

    I provide this one clip a lot in my schleppy, corporate, once or twice a year right-sizing purge world to those who would question why I don't highlight my work more. It is a litmus test to see who is with it and those who are not and also those who will never be able to understand me. A lot of Python's material actually works quite well to quickly identify who you're dealing with and if they have hard limits in certain areas (irony, levels of subtlety, etc.).

    My favourite sketch of them all. However, you definitely need the entire sequence of people not being seen. It continues until the end of that episode. The part of the boxes on the stage doing "Yummy yummy yummy" is side splittingly good!!
