Hello, is there a way to smoothen playback?Everything runs smooth and when I put the effect on it can't play it smoothly at all and I'm on a Macbook Pro 32gb M1 max

@@madd2377 It’s a pretty heavy effect to begin with, but a few things to help could be - turn your playback resolution to half or quarter and make sure your render is set to smart!

Out of curiosity, what were your aperture and shutter settings in camera on both blur and non-blur for the tree shots?

Aperture varies f2.8-5.6, but always 1/48 shutter for regular shots. Slow shutter was around f8-f16 @ 1/8 shutter

Is adding camera shake will make it look like wong-kar-wai effect?

This could work yes! Although, if there is camera movement in the shot you shouldn't need to add camera shake.

theres a problem. When i add the effect, my rotation and zoom are gone on the clip. and i cannot change it after adding the effect. Good plugin but not useful for me

Whoa, very odd, I'll look into that! Im sorry that's happening to you. You could always make a compound clip or apply a transform after to get around that.

I’m having a similar issue presented below. When I add the effect, the moment I use the “drop frames” slider. It throws the scale and rotation of the clip off and makes those parameters unusable in the “video” tab additionally it added this super extreme and jarring stop motion wiggle effect

Ultra weird. do you mind sharing what system you are on, what version of resolve you're running and if you have any other effects or controls activated on the clip.
Lastly, does compounding the clip before adding the effect solve any of the issues?

2019 Intel MacBook Pro 32GB ram 2TB storage i9
I tried to both compound the clip and render it prior to adding the effect. I’m working in a 1080x1920 timeline to ease resources but the clip was shot in dci 4K so there is a slight different in aspect ratio making me have to scale up slightly prior to even modifying the clip.
I just changed some timeline setting and made the project timeline 9x16 for socials rendered the clip in place and still getting the same issue.
There is nothing on the clip. I’m going to join the discord render the clip and post in there
