i was tearing up when i watched good enough mv but laughing at the same time at some scenes. this is their first time acting emotional and i can't help but keep seeing their chaoticness and funny side in my head. but they did a great job, their acting are sooo good, it's so emotional i can feel the despair. they really put their soul into it. so proud of them.
sadly, junhan isn't in the mv. i guess it was the time when he got sick when they filmed it, but they should've waited for him to get better tho so he could be in the mv too :'( i hope they include him in dear h mv 😔

yes they won in immortal song against the singer who won all 4 rounds before them until they broke the streak, unfortunately they lost at the last round against Lee Mujin, but it's still impressive enough for them to win a round in immortal song as a rookie who has only been on the show twice. Some singers can take a lot of visits for them to actually win while some still haven't gotten any win but they got just it on their second visit. Also Jooyeon's voice is in the worst condition today that's why he wasn't totally belting during the chorus of good enough, he couldn't stopped himself tho cuz he still sang his last line all out lol. Although it did cracked a little bit which is totally normal but he still sounded amazing. Even the performance they did just a day before this idol radio performance, he cracked his voice a little during the latter part of the song even tho the notes isn't really on the higher side (for Jooyeon at least) so his condition is really bad. I'm glad he's taking it easy now tho and doesn't force himself to belt all the time. That's also why Junhan did the scream at the end of freaking bad during the same radio guesting which is super cute lol.

I totally agree about this album being a grower, it just gets better with every listen and Man In The Box is probably tied with Good Enough as my favorite.
I'm really disappointed that Jun Han didn't make it in to the Good Enough mv, I know he was sick but I feel like they could have shot his stuff later or something. I'm sure there were a million other factors that we don't know about though, and I believe he wrote Dear H so here's hoping he's in the mv for that one (I think it's due on 5/15). He's back on schedules and looks like he's feeling a lot better, which in the end is all that really matters. That aside, the mv doesn't really make much logical sense (phone box on the beach, Gaon crying into a potted plant, Jooyeon running at night while everyone else is in daytime) but it most certainly nails the sad boy vibe and is beautifully shot.
TBH, I think I prefer the hello82 version, the stripped back staging and raw emotions just work for me. They all looked like they were about to cry towards the end, which is no easy feat. The song itself sounds like they all went through 7 divorces, a dozen personal tragedies, and a few lifetimes of hard living just to get the emotions of that lyrics to come through lol. BTW, they just posted some behind the scenes shorts from the hello82 video on the XH channel where Jooyeon and Jungsu are rehearsing those ending vocals and the accoustics of the warehouse they're shooting in make it sound soooo eerie and cool.
That Bicycle performance is so hype, they really did not skimp on the production for that one! I think out of all the songs on the album this one grew on me the most. I liked it ok at first, but it didn't really stick with me much until after probably 3 or 4 listens. I love that Jooyeon gets to show off his bass skills instead of just vocals for a change.
So I actually got a viki plus subscription partially so I could watch their immortal songs episodes in full. Lemme tell ya, they were sooo cute in the greenroom clips, the other contestants were very enamored with Jooyeon's Daegu accent and hair lol. The legend this ep was Song Chang Sik. From what I could gather, he's a folk rock singer and prolific songwriter who was basically the Johnny Cash or Bob Dylan of South Korea throughout the 60s and 70s. He seemed like a very sweet grandpa type who would have lots of wild stories. The song XH did is called Why Do You Call Me, and it is well known for having been in the soundtrack for a popular 70s movie. It's a pretty simple song, with sad lyrics, but in the movie it's used for a comical chase scene, which I guess XH found to be a fun contrast they wanted to play around with. The song was actually banned for a brief period of time after its release, even Chang Sik doesn't know why though they speculated that the lyrics hinted too much at rebellion for the comfort of the government at the time. XH saw this ep as a redemption, bc apparently nerves got to them last time (which you wouldn't have known from their performance) and they didn't do as well as they felt they could have. They won the round they performed in, but sadly lost the following round to Lee Mujin (imo the show is kind of rigged in favor of soloists), but I think they were overall a lot happier with their performance this time around and Chang Sik said he hopes Korean rock in the future sounds like them. The only bummer was that O.de couldn't be there for it, he had to attend his grandmothers funeral :( Poor kid, grieving a family member while trying to get ready for a comeback can't have been easy.
I saw several comments on the full episode and twitter guessing that Jooyeon's voice was just really tired by the time they did that radio performance, otherwise he would have struggled with more than just the belts. Those screams will take a toll if you don't train for them properly, and I have a feeling they didn't fly Melissa Cross all the way to Korea for him (but they should seriously consider it). Even with training it's hard to do them as often as these guys do, not to mention that he can't exactly do vocal rest in between performances bc they've got interviews and fan meets and variety shows to do. In the Freakin Bad performance for this radio show they actually had Jun Han do the scream at the end, likely to help save Jooyeon's voice a bit, and it was both hilarious and honestly not that bad. Stylistically very different from Jooyeon's but not dissimilar to other screams i've heard as a longtime metal fan. Pretty sure his look of bone-deep embarrassment afterwards means he won't be dont that regularly tho lol. But I don't mind the stylistic choices Jooyeon made to give his voice a rest, and I actually really like it when performers change up their live vocals once in a while. I can't imagine how boring it gets performing something exactly the same hundreds of times, often 3 or 4 times a day during comeback schedules, so they might as well change it up a little when they can. I think the break in his voice adds a lovely bit of emotional intensity to the performance, and I'm all for a gritty voice as long as it's still healthy. During some of their music show performances he's been getting the audience to scream along with him, which is fun and a smart way to cover up if his scream isn't as powerful as it should be. And on the bright side, he looks like he's having an absolute blast with his opening rap in Come Into My Head lol.

Im still a little sad that a rock group's most popular song (or as I've heard from others, their "best" song) is a ballad but i guess ballads are just more popular than rock music 🤷‍♀️ i hope new fans who heard Good Enough first enjoy their other music, too!
Ode's acting in Good Enough is sooo emotional (though him throwing the skateboard down makes me giggle cause he looks really cute). Also they really just allowed Ode to say "shit" like that im- 😶 It's my new favorite thing LMAO
Bicycle is my fave on the album. Im hoping they do some more heavy songs like it in the future, or cover some heavier rock songs. A Muse cover would be perfect!!!

I wanna believe Jooyeon had a sore throat. but I also think it's because he has been constantly screaming in freaking bad promotions. 😭

The older gentleman in the Immortal Songs is the original lyrist, composer and singer of the song, a legend popular during the 70's. Xdinary Heroes adapted the song to their own style. They won the round.
