    Absolutely incredible.
    His humility alone attests to the vision’s authenticity; to say nothing of having received it almost two decades before the Bolsheviks came to power.
    I’ve been Orthodox for 10 years and continue to find myself dumbfounded, speechless from awe, every time I listen to these kinds of excerpts.
    Thank you!

    I need to find an Orthodox church. I have been learning about the Orthodox Christianity from RUclips channels but I do not know where to go or what to do to properly become a member of an Orthodox church. Any prayer that I may find where to go would be appreciated.

      try Lord of Spirits Podcast from Ancient Faith Radio. You could also start to watch Jonathan Pageau videos.
      Lord of Spirits is appreciated by all types of Christians but it has a very solid Orthodox basis. It will give you the basic, ancient faith has more podcasts to guide you in your search.

    Why is it, that all the prophets or seers see visions where some beeing says: your denomination is right and all others burn in hell.
    I‘m totally clueless and confused to be honest. Which is the right way?

    • @johnadinamis5500
      @johnadinamis5500 Год назад +2

      Don't be confused. Visit a Greek Orthodox church. Tell them you are interested in learning more about the faith. Make an appointment to speak with the priest. Let him guide you. Open your heart to Jesus and the One Holy Apostolic church. Let the Holy Spirit do the work as you follow the priest's guidance. Don't be in a hurry. Following Christ is not an intellectual exercise; it is through the heart that we hear Christ, love Christ and are obedient to Christ. With your obedience your love of Christ will grow and produce more obedience, understanding, peace, and joy. Confusion will dissipate and you will become strong in Christ.

      In a nutshell….If you look at history you will see that in the beginning when the Apostles went out into the world they all taught the same faith. Then as time went on heretics devised new beliefs or doctrines. The Church-the only one at the time-put a lid on them through the ecumenical councils. Everyone who believed in Christ and the true doctrines were all in the same church even though they lived in different countries, cities, etc. This is an important point! There were no denominations or Roman Catholics! Only ONE Church, which today were call The Orthodox Church, meaning right worship. Then around 1054 the LatinsRoman Catholics broke away by anathematizing the Eastern part of the church. The Catholics will say that the Orthodox left but in truth it was the Latins who invented new doctrine and practices such as purgatory and indulgences, etc., which led to their losing the grace of God and apostolic succession, which is very important (because otherwise you cant have a church!). Basically, 500 years later Martin Luther exposed the Latin problems/heresies, etc and started the Lutheran “church”-from there thousands of denominations were born-all out of sinc with the original doctrines and practices of the real, true, original church of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles-the Orthodox Church.

    Is there a source for this? A real source? All the quotations I see say "Translated by Priestmonk Orestes
    Christ the Saviour Orthodox Seminary" with no link to this supposed source. What is it translated from? If you type this into Google it only refers back to the same page and nowhere else. Elsewhere where this vision is found there is not mentioned a source either. It may be apocryphal

      In English we would refer to them as elders, but this is a Russian term that's fairly specific and implies more than that.

    With all due respect to my fellow commentators, this is NOT a vision or prophecy of our beloved Saint John. Everyone familiar with John of Kronstadt knows that he was a prolific writer. His words and diaries have been preserved for us for decades. Nowhere in this volume of true prayer and thoughts is this "prophecy" to be found. Please, never believe what you see on the web at face value. The internet can be a source of much joy, but it remains also the domain of the evil one.
