(Just to summarize, I added guitars to the songs to see what they would sound like and I really liked the result so I made a video kinda reviewing the music how it sounds with this change)

Adriel Pezo I don’t get why some people categorize Twenty One Pilots in rock. Some songs are closer to it like Nico and the Niners and Jumpsuit, but in general they are more R&B/Hip-Hop

Leontine Kougam I am confused. Ride and Chlorine just have reggae influence to me. Tyler Joseph is rapping so much of the time, I just can’t dismiss these guys from being at least some part of hip hop. At least alternative hip-hop the aren’t exactly your typical type.
Leontine Kougam Actually, they use too much indie, pop, and electron influence it’s unfair to say they are just hip-hip and rhythm and blues. Didn’t think about that. They are their own genre in a sense.

The guitar omg it changes how some of the songs sound but is it bad that it kinda like some of them. The guitar adds more depth and adds to the instrumental as well. This video would have taken ages to make and time, you did such an amazing job good work my fren. You deserve an award!

Yes, you’re right! I always thought Trapdoor already sounded like Muse, but damn the guitar amped it up a ton. I think it’s definitely the background fast strumming (similar to Sunburn and Easily), the rythm (Sounds like Showbiz), and the OoS style piano sequence.

i also think that a big part of their appeal tho is that they're a two-piece--something pretty uncommon in general. Seems like they wanna keep their friendship at the forefront of their success and having a third to play guitar for them would definitely mess with that....but this does sound pretty amazing

Jacob Brandt actually I disagree. They are emo aesthetically and their melodies are pretty emo, but lyrically they have way more depth than most emo music. They talk about mental illness with a seriously uplifting message instead of romanticizing it or making it seem like a deep or beautiful thing. They make comments on culture as a whole with a genuine goal to make others think, rather than relish in how depressed they are.
@@ceilingeye but you just described a lot of emo. Emo isn't nearly just "boo hoo look how sad i am" Bayside is another example of an emo band with uplifting meanings. The whole Black Parade album by MCR has an uplifting message, the last song, Famous Last Words, is literally about being strong enough to carry on when life is hard.

It sounds great low-key. However, it makes them sounds like MCR. The TØP sound is almost defined by its absence of a guitar sort of emptiness. Cool to hear what it would've sounded like though :)

tbh i've never listened to their 2009 stuff but the vocals on these songs sound SO MUCH like Gerard Way it's astonishing. the guitar only adds to that feeling and I'm happy Tyler has developed his own singing style since then

If this was legitimately how they sounded, i would love them. I always felt something was missing and just the simple addition of guitar completes their sound. It's way more colorful, full, and interesting (to me at least)

I really like the way you did this. The guitar is never completely uncalled for, often just mimicking the melodies that are already there or just filling in background chords. And when you do something extra it’s usually just flavor in the background

I've seen this idea done pretty badly before but so I came into this video with low expectations, but it blew me away how well you integrated the guitar into the songs. The editing was pretty sweet too lol.
This is so cool it really brings something extra I thought to some of the songs were missing. But Adding guitar kinda makes them blend in with other artists more.

I think these sound really good for trying to achieve a certain sound, but that sound is what every other alternative rock band has. I think the absence of a guitar is what makes their music have a different sound.

Millions of bands with guitarist are out there yet they stand amidst all of it firmly. With legitimately dedicated fans not those 'fans' that slowly becomes tired of listening to his/her fav band. They're different and that what makes the other bands WEAK.
