Holy shit man, that is a lot for one guy to go through, especially going through it as a teen, kind of touched us at 14:40 for a bit and could tell it really impacted on your life. I guess you kept the chin up though bro it takes a lot of courage to go through with something like a Stoma because your first reaction is what other people would think of you and if your life will be the same afterwards. Props to you though dude for sticking through it and I hope you the best of luck! I hope to see you again sometime dude in real life, I'll make sure I don't bring white wine to the party! :P Peace out dude and see you soon!

I have a similar disease called ulcerative colitis and I'm sort of feeling a similar way right now. I'm actually considering the permanent ileostomy because there isn't a mid-way surgery for this. I feel better after watching this, if I'm honest.

Hey, Tejb. Jeff here. I've been thinking of doing something like this on social media. I think you're an amazing person to reveal yourself like this in public. The greatest thing about social media is to bring people together and share a common ground. This will help a lot of people in so many different ways that you may have never been able to touch without making this video. I have a few friends who have crones and have had one who needed a colostomy bag. It sucks that you've had to go through something so traumatic. I am glad that you have had the chance to go through something that has given you the opportunity to become such a strong human being. Keep up the good work. You are never alone and thanks to you more people no know the same.

You have so much mental strength, I personally could not go through what you did. Especially as a teenager. My sister suffers from Crohns and is now receiving treatment for it. Just hearing your experiences makes me think about all of the things that can strike us down both mentally and physically and how they can change our lives. You have my respect on how you have managed to live life normally, it takes allot of courage to do this sort of thing so props to you.

Great video tejbz! I am a fellow Crohns sufferer as well, I was diagnosed when I was 12 and I had surgery when I was 14, I'm now 27 years old and am very appreciative of stories such as yours. (The initial pain and surgery was one of the toughest times, if not the toughest time of my life). Regarding foods: I do my best to stay away from coffee, certain dairy products, greens- sometimes lettuce effects my stomach negatively. I'm like you in that I still indulge once and a while (I have somewhat of a sweet tooth). I'm constantly learning what I can and cannot eat. Even certain brands of alcoholic beverages I have learned to stay away from. I try not to get too stressed out and certainly music and video games help with this. I have a rewarding full time job, loving wife and family. I live an active life with Crohns, playing ice hockey in a local league for fun. My mother did a lot of research for natural products following my surgery almost 14 years ago and I truly believe I've been healthier because of some of these products: 1) Live bacteria (Increases white blood cells in your body to help fight viruses, cancers etc). I've used different Live bacteria’s over the years, but currently I'm taking "Flora" UDO's Choice Super Bifido Plus Probiotic - it has 61 Billion viable cells - comes in a 30 pack. 2) Most recently I started taking: "Silver Solutions" by AK Nutrition - New Nano technology scientifically tested liquid. This product is the newest breakthrough according scientific research that helps fight numerous illnesses as well as Crohns. 3) Following my surgery I became iron deficient and at that time learned I required a steady intake of Vitamin B/Iron. - I use "Simply Right" - Vitamin B12 - 2500 mcg dissolve tablets. 4) "SISU" Magnesium capsules (which helps your body maintain proper muscle function to metabolize carbs, fats and proteins). 5) Vitamin C - Any brand with a lot of mg’s will do. (I purchase these products at my local natural health supplements store, it’s important for me that I take these pills every day as I truly believe they have helped me stay healthy over the years). Following being diagnosed I expressed to my older brother that I was concerned what girls would think of me as well, he told me essentially the same thing you said in this video. “Girls will like you man, don’t worry, if they are that vain then why would you want to be with a person like that anyway.” He was bang on and I never had an issue with relationships because of my Crohns. Please make sure you look into Probiotics/Live Bacteria as well if you’re not already taken it. I can recall at the hospital when I was 14 the Crohns Specialist Doctor was speaking to my mother about the live bacteria my mother had purchased at the local health supplements store to which the Doctor said this to her, “What you are given your son is the best for him, there is nothing better that I can prescribe, live bacteria's are the future of medicines.” He said this knowing what he could prescribe was not up to par with this live bacteria. Best wishes tejbz, thank you for sharing this with your subscribers.

Don't worry Tejbz. Its not the end of the world. I am crippled from the waist down so I had to get a stomach for urinating more efficiently. I have not regretted any of the surgeries I have had to get a stoma. Yea it's painful for a while after the surgeries, but it is well worth it. Don't get your hopes down. You can still have a normal, enjoyable life.

Tejb, I've been watching your videos since I was a 16 year old kid playing call of duty, you have been such an inspiration for me, I went through a major stomach disease called H-Pylori, and even though it hurt when I laughed at your videos, you made me get through it. You helped me so much through those years and I probably will never get to thank you in person and I hope you do read this. As a fellow ginger, I just want you to know how much I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these videos, and I personally want to thank you for giving me a positive mindset throughout those few years.

You have crohns?! I had no idea. I also have crohns, I'm 16 and have been diagnosed for 2 years. I don't have a stoma. And there are very few things I can eat that don't bother me. I get bad stomach aches and very loud stomach gurgles. I've had to miss a lot of school, which sucks, especially being in high school. It took me about 5 years to get diagnosed because of a family doctor who wouldn't send me to a specialist, and instead just kept giving me pills. Finally we got a new one and I went to a specialist and got diagnosed. Right now I'm on a pill ( can't remember the name), I take 2 a day at supper, and I have to take 1 pill in the morning to help with pain. I also take 2-4 Tylenol a day and 2-4 pepto bismol a day to help with pain. Along with 5 vitamins (since I can't eat or drink a whole lot). I've been lucky in the sense that I haven't had to have any surgeries yet, or had to do anything crazy like swallow a tube. I did have a scope done, that's how they found my crohns (I was asleep haha). The gurgles are probably the worst part of it, I've had to sit through so many classes with these loud stomach gurgles and it's so embarrassing. I can mask the pain, and deal with the pain, but there's no way to mask the gurgles. I also have bad anxiety, and as you know stress and anxiety will also contribute to pain. So basically I get pain, have to miss school for a couple days, then I freak out because I don't know what I missed and I have to catch up, which then contributes to more pain, which I then have to miss more school, and it's just a big cycle until eventually I just force myself to go to school through the pain. I've heard that stoma's are actually kind of good though, since you can eat and drink basically anything you want, compared to without you have to really watch what you eat. I really hope they find a cure for this, or at least a better way to deal with it. And I understand where you're coming from with the depression and awful thoughts about yourself, trust me. And now I'm crying, so I'm going to stop

Tejbz, you have a lot of guts to say things like that to an audience of currently 535,789 people. You have been through a lot in your life that many of us will never experience in our lives. From what i know i don't have/haven't had any kind of disease anywhere near crohns. But i am now more aware of the struggles that people with it have to face or have had to face. You have had a difficult life and everybody's life is difficult. Usually in different ways which is why my mom always says there is somebody that has it worse than you. I have been having a difficult past couple of months and mostly because of a breakup that i had then. I wont go into any details but that has been a big problem for me. It has been hard for me to get this girl out of my head because my mind is very overactive and remembers quite an amount of things. This makes it hard to forget things such as this breakup even through a lot of meditation, clearing my mind, and other things of the sort. But this video has reminded me about the hardships of others and the struggles that people can face for a very long time. To everyone else who took the time to read this and are struggling with a serious problem or even a minor problem, don't give up. There is always better things in store for you. It may seem like there is little hope but trust me, the best of your life is yet to come. Be around to discover it.

Much respect bro! I too have crohns and was diagnosed at 14. And to be honest I've gone through a lot of similar things that you've gone through. I'm 18 now. But I've learned a lot from crohns! At 14:00 min it was really touching to me also cause I too have gone through feeling the way you have felt. I feel the same way with doctors because of prior experiences! Since I've gone through lots of medicine, remicade is one and many more I don't remember names too. Right now I'm taking all natural pills that seem to be working better. But not excellent but that's the thing with crohns it seems like. I've been asked quite a bit of times by doctors if I want to have the surgery to have a bag but I've always just been scared. But after watching this and listening to your story it had honestly made me at least think about it and take it into consideration because I know it isn't going to be as bad as I thought it was going too be. Thank you tejbz! Thanks for sharing your crohns story not just now but for prior years! I've been subbed to you since I have 12 or 13 years old! Its nice having a role model share their crohns stories especially for people that have the disease and know what its like to live with this disease on a daily basis. So thank you. Means a lot!

Tejbz, i have the same thing as you but with my bladder. Its hard and the worst thing i remember is having to stay in hospital over christmas. Ive learnt to live with my stoma and still manage to have a great life. Sadly, the hospitals first try at the operation went wrong and i lost over half of my bodies blood, but i luckily survived. You always have to think on the positives, thanks for sticking around :)

Hey Tejbz. I watched this video, because one of my friends, who is following you here on youtube, told me about it. I can just tell you that I pretty much know how you feel. I too have Crohns and it totally sucks. I take like 10 pills a day, and get i.v. medication every 6 weeks, to not getting a stoma. Because if i would have a stoma it would be permanent, cause it's all over in my colon. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who got traumatized by the colon examination. The first time they did it to me, i got no drugs at all, no morphin, no mask. It was insanly painfull. 1 year later they had to make the same examination again, and i was so scared, i had to sit with my head between my legs to not faint. This time they gave me morphin and something to relax on, and told me that the first time was a mistake, and that the doctor got fired 2 months after my last visit. Anyways, I just want to say thumps up for taking it so well about the whole Stoma thing. It's really cool, and i hope that you will never be put in that situation again.

I can relate to you Tejbz, I was diagnosed with crohns @ 19 years old. It's definitely been a wild roller coaster ride. I've never had any surgeries and I can eat anything I want. I might be lucky but there are TONS of ways around fighting this disease and curing yourself besides taking meds everyday. I hope you see this message I have done a shitload of research and take all natural products to keep it in check.I'd love to talk to you about it if you're interested.

Hey Tobias/Tejbz i really enjoyed this video and i appreciate the detail you go into eventho i know it wasnt easy because it is a touchy subject.
My mother suffers from Crohns herself so i can relate to everything you said seeing she also has a Stomi too and i really feel with you and i have grown a even bigger respect for you as a RUclips personallity and a person and i just wanted you too know that you have clearly grown into a strong human being and living with Chrons and a Stomi is possible since my mother has been having a Stomi since i was like 10 (im 20 now) so mad props too you man :) from a Scandinavian Brother.
