I choose to see Theo leaving as a possible positive idea. Charlotte deserves someone who isn't constantly criticizing her or treating her like an unwanted child. Charlotte and Georgianna deserve better than that. The first man you fall in love with is not always the man you marry. Even Jane Austen knew this when she wrote Sense & Sensibility.

Great video, gives full emotional weight to the situation they were in. How things would have been different if AD and others hadn't gambled on a renewal. Not sure how S1 would have wrapped up. BUT I love the new season + new characters and am grateful for every phase of Charlotte's journey.
GOODBYE. This is so incredibly painful after that S2 opening. Genuinely so bummed we won't witness a resolution to this storyline, but I'm glad Charlotte is still as head-strong and dedicated despite all that's happened.

Why? I hate when people say that they should have just cancelled the upcoming seasons because he didn't want to come back. That is so selfish! So because Theo didn't want to come back, we have to shelve the rest of the show because they don't end up together?! There is so many new stories to tell about the characters of Sanditon. You alone can just see the first season as it's own story without watching the remaining seasons.

I think the new season was phenomenal given the MASSIVE pivot they had to make... And Arthur becoming a hero was worth the renewal.
