I was so excited when the show got renewed but now that Theo isn’t coming back I’m so upset 😭. I hope that Charlotte’s new love interest will still be good because I’m worried nothing will compare to this.
@@4everfelice it will develop Elena. He just reserved, there's a lot underneath to break out. My disappointment was that Babington couldn't join 2nd series. I was waiting for him to arrive I thought in series 3 on a white steed to rescue Esther, but since that was so suddenly resolved I fear he won't be back. So much more could have been developed in that thread Since your a Theo fan, you'll be glad he's in Time Travellers Wife starting soon

I only just discovered Sanditon. I do love it. Will see the whole ep. 8 on Tuesday. Rose and Theo make a great duo on screen. He will be sorely missed😢. Can't imagine anyone else playing Sidney. Hopefully, s2 will be available in Poland. Can't wait to see Charlotte get over Mr. Parker. She said success in marriage is a matter of the degree of suitability. Wish her all the happiness. Maybe Mr.Stringer will come into play. A great character as well.

Beautiful! I fell in love with Sidlotte, so my heart is acking. I don't know why Theo James loves sad endings or why he walkes away from one of his best performances without even being thankful to the fandom. I will also miss Leo Suter, who it is said, won't be a part of the cast after getting a leading part in a Netflix series. Sanditon will rise and I hope we can get some of its magic back without regretting the renewal in the first place :(
As long as Sanditon is not connected to Jane Austen, because non of her novels had an ending like this. Nor can her novels be seasons. Theo James is a bore for not wanting to continue, being true to the name of Austen. Davies et al made a mess of things, I could have done a better job myself, knowing Austen’s novels inside out!
I have finished Season 2. Nothing compares to Season 1, I'm sorry. It's not the actor but the main character for me is missing - Sidney Parker's character cannot be replicated and the magic they with created with Charlotte (Rose).

The bank wouldn't even extend his credit by £3000, to pay his workers. Sidney had used up his available money to pay off Otis's debt and give Tom the £3000. It was Charlotte, who kept telling Sidney that he wasn't doing enough for Tom! She was working with Tom's accounts. If she's so smart, then, how come she didn't know that he wasn't paying his workers/his bills? No wonder her father is 'wretchedly poor', by S2!
He only had 1wk to help Tom and the Parkers raise, the equivalent of, millions of pounds! Charlotte always castigated him for not helping Tom enough! The banks wouldn't even give Tom £3000! SP gave Tom £3000 and paid £2000+ to clear Otis's debts! That was a stretch for him. He wasn't mega rich! Eliza was the only one prepared to give him the money to save the Parkers AND Sanditon! In return, she wanted him to marry her. As he said to CH, he HAD intended to marry her, it was the only way to sort out Tom's mess and keep the Parkers out of debtor's prison! He, also, tells CH, in the final scene, that he doesn't love Eliza and that he had to keep his side of the BARGAIN! CH is sad but, still, doesn't 'feel badly' of him. So, why should we?

Sidney passed Charlotte over for an older and wealthier woman. Hmmmm
He had to save his brother/family. Sidney sacrified himself to marry Eliza the wealthier women so Sanditon would be saved.
