I know I'm 6 years late but I like to think of it as RoR is very impressive even today but is just a physics simulations. As to where now Beam is a physics simulation and for the most part a slightly more polished state but it's also more of a game than RoR due to its career, scenarios, races, etc. Also great video!
Free and FPS friendly! I don’t see the problem on playing ROR. Both games are made by the same develop team so idk, well BeamNG is more detailed, less FPS friendly.
@@Ilovetoes6996 It is so not FPS friendly. 2005 didn't have the same technological standards, and developers did not have access to the performant, more reliable Clang libraries have available today. Beam.NG by far runs WAY more efficiently.
Thanks! I hope this video improves on the previous two... I used a wider and better variety of maps and cars, as well as effects, than the previous two. I am glad you enjoy these as much as I do!
I'd say so too! They've updated it over the years, though the core has stayed the same - and it's still quite fun! And due to the simpler physics engine, it has server multiplayer!! Crashing around Gavril Zetas to me is about as good as crashing Ibishus and ETKs!
I'd definitely give the graphics and physics quality to BeamNG, but Rigs of Rods has a much greater variety of vehicles and maps. It's quality vs. quantity!
Yes. It does, and I do have a lot of BeamNG maps. I'm just saying there are over 3,000 total car mods and over 1,000 total map mods for Rigs of Rods and about 300 car mods and 100 map mods for BeamNG. BeamNG is not lacking mods, though.
1:10 I hate coming on to these accidents in real life when the sun is out. Them head lights make the sun reflection look like a strobe light in my eyes,...LOL.
So i had a potato laptop once and I was like "hmmmmmm, I’m gonna download beamng drive!!!" LITERALLY 40 GIGABYTES!!! It was laggy but I put the settings down and it was good. Then once I trying to play and it said there are 5 dangerous viruses and I was like huh so after that, beamng didn’t work it just wouldn’t work. Rigs of rods did work though and I was happy.
I remember getting ror when it first came out. Agreeable BeamNg has better graphics and physics. However RoR was the OG and is open source and Free. I do have both and enjoy both equally.
BeamNG is the successor to Rigs of Rods using the same tech in an updated framework so its unsurprising that the results are nearly identical. People here claiming this is what you got in 2005 though obviously havent experienced it around then when the car models had very few nodes and were rather low poly and deformed rather stiffly.
RoR wins because it was released on 2005 as an open source. Of course now it has bad graphics and some little glitches on crashes, but it has more than 13 years now.
Yeah! They're great simulators. I still play RoR just because of its destinctive charm that BeamNG can't ever have. Well, BeamNG also has the realism and customizability that RoR won't get... And what map, West Coast USA? It's just included with the game.
Yeah, that is an awesome part of BeamNG. You can make cars for RoR... but not really 🤣 Not the way you can in Automation. For some reason, it's not working for me, but that's not it's fault.
I tried it a few years ago, and it was pretty involved. My car didn’t even have wheels 😂 That being said, I wasn’t yet experienced with things of the like.
Thanks for the idea! I may, although each new crash testing seems to become less popular. CT1: 130,000 views CT2: 20,000 views CT3: 3,000 views CT4 may end up with less than 1,000, but thanks for the idea and the support! I may very well still make it.
RoR has better graphics now in 2021 and also RoR is free and only takes 2 GB memory space and also has over 600 in game mods and 400 different mods which is also free.
Cool!! Thanks bro, glad you like it! In a couple days, I plan on releasing a map in BeamNG, and I am going to feature it in my next video about how to play BeamNG with a friend in 2018.

I would say Rigs of Rods is quantity, and BeamNG is quality. I still play both, and don’t think BeamNG is necessarily a replacement for Rigs of Rods. But yes, Rigs of Rods will run on much older systems.

RoR has Online Multiplayer and there are still many online players
Beam Ng is a better overall game but RoR will always have a place in my heart because how hard the devs work
They’re the same devs lol
Beam ng will always be my favourite

2:45 Rigs of Rods properly simulated parts detaching (front and rear bumpers) while the BeamNG car behaved like cardboard
They both look a bit glitchy. Both games are improving, though, which is awesome!
wdym? The bumpers detached in BeamNG? It was RoR that had the weird front bumper seemingly hovering to the side of the car.

-GTA IV

MAFIA 1

You should nake this comparison video again! Because bow you can download various BeamNG cars in rigs of rods. That would be cool!
RoR is perfect for low end device

Well I don't know what to say about these two games. Beam NG has good graphics and softbody physics while RoR performance is lighter
for anyone who got ror like me and still dont know how to shift in auto A is upshift and Z is downshift
Sadly I can’t play bmg right now because I don’t have enough storage
I remember getting ror when it first came out. Agreeable BeamNg has better graphics and physics. However RoR was the OG and is open source and Free. I do have both and enjoy both equally.
Pemex, Oxxo? They are brands from Mexico, where did you get the map
You can see how much better value RoR is. Better in some areas than BeamNG, and yet free!
Mathematically, it's an infinitely better value-RoR is $0! But yes, in all seriousness, it's amazing what you get for free.
It’s made by the Beamng devs and they no longer support it. So putting the game out for free isn’t a problem for them.

Rigs of rods is good crash wise but the actual driving physics suck
The gavrils in RoR are probably the best cars in the game.

The Burnside Drag is definitely the best car to mod though. I got it going nearly 1000 kph!
