Used to do the half open middle closed and had the same problem. That's the best thing about the wahl system. Open blade, half gaurd half open wich I call a .75, the 1 closed to the 1 open, its flawless. The gradiency is perfect

The mirrors are 3x4 pencil polished Morris from menards. The Led bars are 4’ single wide LED lights from Lowe’s wired to a cord to a power strip to come on with the station! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Really just depends on your budget. Gamma boosted is my favorite at the moment. Lots of beginners use magic clips as they’re a little more affordable.

How do you know when to do block gradation at a 90 degree angle vs a 45 degree angle?
It’s not so much about angle as it is pulling the hair to where you want to create the weight line.
90 degree keeps more square shape, 45 degrees helps you maintain more weight round the sides
Hey Sean, when you close your one guard do you only go up half that guidline with the lever closed?
Open at the top, closed 2/3 up, 1/2 guard the bottom 1/3.
