I can really say. The quality of your videos and editing have been getting good at a fast pace. Even the intros and outros have been getting way smoother. Good work!
i had a similar problem on my way to work one very early cold morning. Luckily my dad was visiting...my 1986 chevy eurosport stopped driving. i ran 2 miles to a service station.... called my dad. he came and brought me to work... i was a broadcast tv engineer at the time and i had to sign the station on in the mornings. he went back and looked at engine.... he could see a transmission hose had wore in two... all fluid leaked out... he went to auto parts... bought a hose... and two c-clamps and 2 tubes to connect the hoses back together... put trans fluid back in and the tranny shifted fine from then on.
Let's hope it wasn't driven too far or long without trans fluid....you can burn up a trans by doing that. BTW: same thing happened to my ford escape....took it to a mech and they said the part that rusted through was part of an assembly and from ford, the assembly is $900. He through an apprentice on it and he did what you did: trimmed the metal line to the "good" area, used a flaring tool and some nuts and repaired it for $170.00 (it wasn't my employee so I had to pay shop rate + parts).
I have worked at the same garage since 1989 in ct are looking any mechanics.I have every video you have made. Love any video you make you seem honest and up front.
It's actually nuts.....it's the same with building supplies...so many plants shut down etc that the material costs are through the roof. 2 x 4's are 3x the price they were a year ago. Can you imagine quoting on a new home build and having your material costs triple?
Been waiting for this 1... Glad it was an easy fix. You'll make out on this 1. I was figuring low fluid or a bad shift solenoid.. That's actually pretty mint for that yr.. Can't find 1 this clean in Co. for less than 5 or 6.. Good find.. Keep up the great work guys
Had the same thing with my Chevy Corsica. It developed a transmission leak from the pan gasket and one day would barely move. Did the fluid and filter while I was at it, never worker better
I think a lot of the overhead costs go into wages, brick@mortar, deductions of driving to auctions, spending time at the auctions or research. I decided to overhaul my office last year and wrote the cost of that off against my company P&L legdger. It is just one way to drum up more business if the virtual meeting space looks decent and not some crazy zoom background. As a contractor in the IT environments I also write off my laptops and monitors and as such I only worked one month for free (the amount of taxes, after deductions) as my accountant does a superb job and I feel I never pay her enough.
Craig, check the battery cable ends on that Infiniti. I've seen where they were loose or corroded causing airbag light to flash. I use marine style terminals on those when they need to be replaced. Those do rot out on Nissans and it's a cheap fix. Clear the codes after and take her for a rip
Be honest it's hard to find a dealer like Craig up front with all the free information how to buy to how to deal with customers and dealer auction it's not cheap to buy cars from and all these fees they charge and some cars they came with lots of problems. What agreat guy to learn from. Thank you
6:05 "I can't tell you how many $1500 I got" ...Here in Chicagoland, $1500 is the go to offer for anything posted for $2k to $3k...In 2021, people would be lucky to find anything without major issues for that $1500.
Just saw a 2006 accord sedan v6 manual 6 -speed with 150k for $3000. The catch is, it has a trailer hitch on it. Sounds like it might have been abused.
Does it have an actual hitch ball or a circular mark around the hole matching the base of a hitch ball? If not, they most likely just had a bicycle rack mounted on the hitch. But it's hard to be sure. With a 6 speed manual, your bigger risk of abuse is by a boy racer, especially if there is anything not 100% stock with the air cleaner, the exhaust, the ride height, the wheel size, the tire size, the tire camber, the suspension, underbody lighting, the stereo, etc. Take a look at how many sedans you see with bicycle racks or little cargo carriers or little 4x8 trailers making 2 trips a year to Home Depot, than sedans pulling something heavy, much less abusing the car when they do. I've had receiver trailer hitches on the majority of my cars the last 30 years, and only towed with two, which were an S10 pickup and a Suburban. You could say I towed too much with the S10, but it never seemed to bother it, and it only had a 120hp 2.2 liter 4 cylinder with 5 speed manual. I have a receiver hitch on my oldest car now, from using a cargo carrier for a few months 5 years ago.
I never had a car with over one hundred thousand miles on it. I feel if it’s over one hundred thousand miles it’s done. I bought a Smokey and the bandit 400 4 speed with the eagle 🦅 on the hood.. I paid $600 it didn’t run the freezer out plug was gone and it had a bent push rod. I fixed it up and sold it for $4000.I was 18.I had an 1985 IROCZ at the time I bought myself.Looking back 30 years ago
“This goes one of two ways...you get what you want and I get what I want... OOR... you get what I want and I get what I want...” The choice is yours, choose wisely.
I might have my best flip right now! I got a S10 lifted with bigger tires. Had a massive water leak. Had to drill out and tap new studs for the thermostat. Now if the misfire goes away after I change the plugs (Its sat for 7 years. So maybe 10 years since plugs been changed) If I can get all that fixed and have it run right I will have about $300 into something I think I will be able to get 2500 for.
@@FlyingWheels When I worked at a Chevy store we got a trade in of a 1982 Buick Regal. This was in 1987. The front chrome bumper was pulled out a bit. After I rammed it into a wall two or three times, it was fixed and sold on the used car lot. You do what you have to do.
I love your videos and your views and subscribers continue to go up. Please up your production game with better camera and audio (microphone) and same with editing. As business grows, it is time to up your game!
I wish New York had same Dealer laws ... we’d have to fix everything... even if it’s a $500 car still would have to fix breaks and bearings... supposed to fix abs and air bag lights but can get away without fixing them
Great videos.. have been trying to find another good car channel... I'm from australia, I also like to flip cars. I have bought and sold around 50 cars and have only lost money on a couple of them. Hopefullu one day I'll get the opportunity to get a dealer licence and do it for a living. I have been noticing that over there in America no one that I noticed seems to mention oil leaks. Are they not considered in a safety inspection over there? Over here is Aus and serious enough oil leak will fail a safety certificate. Keep up the good videos and can't wait for the next.
If I was local, I'd give you $2500 for the G35x. I'm a former Nissan Master Tech with my own shop, so I can have that thing fully rebuilt in about 3 days with no labor cost and parts at jobber cost. I'd daily it myself. Those sell for about $5k out here in Vegas in "needs work" condition.
Man, the g35 is the best I'd say if you keep it stock. My dad Bought an 04 salvage in 06 never broke down. The only that broke it was getting totaled by a girl texting on her phone in a curved street (too specific). Can say it's a good car if you keep it stock my dad really loved passing cars that would go slow in front of him. The reason they are low balling your offer is because they are just teenagers trying to get into the car scene so they will just trash the car.
