Great working with ya'll also! And we're glad to see the result on your latest update! (For anyone wondering here's C & C's latest video on this 455E - ruclips.net/video/geu31vLaKiM/видео.html )
These guy s are gems. Keep them as your friends. Ps a marine engineer who for13 years managed to get the vessels acros the pond. Had to stop and fix things, but made it to the next port of call.
We are manufacturer specialized in auto and marine diesel engine parts since 1952. Our main parts are EURO II system: plunger, nozzle , delivery valves, head rotors, repair kits, etc. Common rail system: Injector complete and injector spare parts for CATERPILLAR, DENSO, DELPHI , BOSCH, SIMENS, CUMMINS, etc. If you have any inquiries, pls do not hesitate to contact me.
I saw these guys first through a Watch Wes Work video and they seem to be very highly experienced and skilled. The pumps they work on are feats of engineering in their own right. The techs look like they could rebuild one of these things in their sleep. Awesome stuff!
I came from C&C following the fuel pump off of the 455. I am pumped up. I was a Hydraulic mechanic working on high speed high pressure pumps. Your shop is a welcome sight and with excellent service to your customers.
Greetings from No VT - I have been following Clint and his rebuild on the 455 and came over to see the detail of the injector pump work. I am really impressed with the detail and your process. Clint had to be trilled with the bill, given a new pump right now would be pushing 2 grand (or more in these crazy times). It is a pleasure to see your level of professionalism. Best wishes and hopefully more people will see the value of professional rebuilds rather than cheap foreign aftermarket knockoffs that seem to be flooding the market.
Thanks for the watch and comment. We hope they see the value of professional rebuilds also. We try our best to meet or exceed customer expectations with experts that know their stuff, reasonable pricing and awesome customer support.
I got my stanadyne to free up after a decade of sitting by blowing compressed air backwards through the lines going to the injectors. I also filled the feed lines with seafoam and WD-40, also heated the pump and tapped it with a hammer while turning the engine over and blowing the air, it was tricky to do all that at once but I did and it worked. 💯
You guys do your videos in more detail than I can actually stand. The reason that's a GOOD thing is that I can skip around where I choose to, anyone else can skip around where they choose, and we each still get to see the parts that really interest us.
That was a lot of fun to watch. Really shows your technical expertise and repair knowledge. I was able to watch a JD/Roosamaster pump rebuild in a repair center back in the 70s and this brought back fond memories.
Both Clint and Mike Kleenman gave you guys the highest marks of excellence... I might be too old to be in the field anymore but I do share my/your videos and recommendations to others having some issues. Your going to get very big for sure. I believe I even heard Tim Gentry speak of you
I used to rebuild these all the time when I worked at a GM dealership back in the 80's. I still have all the tools involved, pretty easy to do if you ask me.
This was a very good, detailed video. To see this information displayed gives a person what is really involved in a knowledgeable rebuilding of a rotary injection pump.
Awesome, awesome video!!!.. Thanks for making and posting!!.. I learned quite a lot about injectoion pumps.. Your Tech did a great job explaining as he went along with disassembly, reassembly, and calibration..
I stopped by after Clint’s invitation & I’m glad I did. I consider myself a very handy repairman & I can usually fix just about anything. But…after watching this I now know it would be money well spent sending in this repair to a professional, such as yourselves. New subscriber.👍
Howdy, I just watched this video. I just subscribed to help you folks out. That guy that rebuilt that pump is sharp!! He tore that thing down to parade rest and then put it all back together from memory!!! F ing A!!!!! I have seen you before too on watch Wes work. This time I subscribed! Great video!!!
I heard about you guys via C&C show. I have a DRESSER 175B and I think I need to have my pump rebuilt. So I will probably be in touch in a few weeks. Nice work on C&C's pump. After seeing this I know why you should send it to you guys to be rebuilt. I would undoubtably have a few parts left over and a pump that wouldn't work.
Have been subscribed since the “Watch Wes Work” video. That was a great video tour. Have only recently discovered “Clinton’s” channel, and am coming back to your channel for your work on his pump. I was not disappointed with this video, it was “great”..! I can’t believe how you keep all the little parts & pieces all in order. Thank you sir. P.S., I had the figure of $800 in my mind during the video…, not far off.
Awesome Gregg - we've had some great collaborators and can't thank them and their audiences enough for taking a look at what we do. We pride ourselves on trying to keep reasonable rates (though some things can be out of our control) but with all our years of experience, we can stick pretty close to a quote and try our bests keep any surprise costs at bay! We celebrate 50 years in 2023 and can contribute part of that success to honest work!
I've had several pumps built over the years but I have never seen one built you would be a very good instructor on pump rebuilds because you go over all the tricks and shortcuts of the trade. Very informative video.
Well done. I am a retired light vehicle mechanic in Land Down Under. However, I appreciate excellent & conscientious work when I see it even though diesel engines are not my forte. What the TheHillbillyEngineer says in his comments speaks volumes. Lots of other top class operators use you and they would not if they in any way doubted your work. Again, well done.
That pump has as many parts in it as a carburetor has. A lot of people think that overhauling a carb is no big thing & probably the same goes for the injection pump-this requires a cetain finese & special ability. Keep up the good work & special ability that you & not a lot a of people have.
Greg from northern Michigan. Worked in JD Engine Engineering for 39 years and retired in late 2016. Great video and commentary about of the FIP teardown, inspection, repair, rebuild, and cal stand process. You might want to include some future discussion about fuel injection nozzle opening pressure and spray hole pattern, and why non-flammable diesel fuel injection calibration fluid (Viscor) is used during FIP recalibration instead of actual diesel fuel. Thanks to C&C for recommending your channel.
Greg - hope the retired life is treating you great! Thanks for the watch & comment! Corey (& others) have hit on some of those items in a previous videos - thanks for the reminder - we'll continue to try to highlight those specific topics.

Wow...what a detailed breakdown and assembly. I already know Clint is pretty impressed, as so am I. I can't believe how many parts these things have! Good job!
Very interesting; I hope you’ll continue to post full-length videos like this. It’s such a pleasure to watch highly qualified professionals using the best equipment and techniques. I’ve learned quite a bit watching your videos, and yes, I came here from Wes/C&C/Kleeman/etc. I continue to hear about Area Diesel from other channels that I hold in high regard.
I would add it is always good practice to physically check the fuel pressure to the injection pump both before removal and after reinstall. These rotary pumps are particularly sensitive to fuel pressure since it effects the timing as well.
This was most definitely a learning experience for me these pumps have a lot of moving parts to them they might not be big parts but all of them have purpose and the man rebuilding this one knows his stuff and too me takes pride in his work darn good video and his explanation of the way too go about replacing a part which would be too help keep the life of the pump working longer and better 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
Fantastic service, yourdepth of knowledge is very impressive. The technician that perfomed the work has laser focused attention to detail. So many pieces when a pump is all dismantled. I watch C&C Equipment all the time. I am now a new subject to your channel. Mark. I live in Everett Pa and work in the Bakken oilfield in ND. Thank You
Wow awesome job on the pump, I came over from watching the 455E project on Clints channel. You guys do great work and very reasonably priced for what went into the rebuild. Excited to see what else you guys got coming up lots of knowledge to be gobbled up here Thanks for taking us along Keepem coming!!!
diesel creek, watch wes work, C&C, maybe dirt perfect. All you tube content creators and good ones. it's obvious there are highly skilled and experienced folks working there. you go guys.
Very interesting. I appreciate the care and attention to detail the operator has and his informative and instructional dialogue. Years ago when I worked on a few diesel engines I always took the pump to a repair shop, having seen this video I think that was definitely the right thing to do.
Pretty intense, when I see these internal views of the inside of these different pumps , I always wonder how smart was the guy that made the first one way back. Great video guys keep up the great work.
I got to channel from Clint's and Wes's channels so very interesting back in the day in a building in St Paul Minnesota I worked in there was a business called Diesel Service company while I was there they moved to Wisconsin it was a nice business was sorry to see them go.
Thanks for the ride down memory lane. I used to rebuild all of the RoosaMaster, DB2, etc style pumps at Lakes Fuel Injection in NH. My dad did the electronic DS pumps for the 6.5's, and we both worked for my uncle. 99% of the specs and parts was on microfiche =] I may have missed it, but I hope he did the injectors also.

Thanx for this video, I was very impressed by the the young pump technician Corey, his knowledge & experience. I also enjoy watching videos from C&C Equipment & happy that they sent me to your channel . . . now I have 2 to watch & enjoy.
Good video, great explanation of the work as it was being carried out. Can I suggest that a few close up still shots of the worn part split screened with the replacement part might help get over the fine tolerances these pumps run with.
Boy does that bring back memories, I worked in the Stanadyne product development lab from '83 - '88. Got to work with a lot of stuff from different customers al using Stanadyne pumps of one version or another, some of which never made it out of the lab.
When you were installing the cam, you said "this is a clockwise pump". But during all of the calibration on the Bosch, it was spinning counter-clockwise. Does that mean it was "clockwise" when looking from the engine toward the pump?
hello from Las Vegas Nevada C&C let me know of your Chanel, you make a great job. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Greetings: 1:40:00- All this time I figured I was hearing the engine. Turns out it is the pump. Yep, definitely had the tractor sound. :). Thx 4 the share. Keep up the good work. Bsafe.

My JD 450C, with a 4219 turbocharged engine has a problem. The fuel return fitting (on the pump) occasionally plugs with trash and shuts down the machine. I replaced the filter but still plugs with trash. Is there something in the pump that is deteriorating and clogging the pump? Thanks!

Funny you guys just make this video now, I just got a Cummins 4BT with that pump on it. was wondering if the 3 bolt flange style is the same as the Bosch VE and CAV/Delphi DPA Great vid, we had a Stanadyne pump on our JD350B that got sugared fuel once (#$%# neighbors!) and snapped the shaft, got a reman replacement pump and it just never ran right, always struggled and seemed like it was under a load, like the timing was WAY late. I used the cam adjuster screw to add timing and it made a world of difference, no idea what the actual timing is, but it's happier!
It was with great pleasure that I followed the analysis and recovery of the pump for the full two hours. But as mentioned earlier, the purchase of a (faster working) automatic focus of the camera is a must. It is very disturbing that the manual work cannot be fully followed because the person behind the camera turns the focus in the wrong direction. But otherwise, keep up the great work with these very interesting videos. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Was great working with you guys, truly a top notch facility👍👍

You fellas do excellent work and I saw the pump installed at c&c it works fine you should be very proud of your technician also he's on the ball.
Kudos to the camera operator, good video.

Thanks for the interesting post. Cheers from Australia.

As a new mechanic that works with a lot of these old John Deere engines. This is awesome!
C&C sent me here, very informative for the Gearhead in me, Thanks.
Welcome Jeff - thanks for the watch & comment!
Great work! Enjoyed watching🤠
Thanks for watching!
saw you on Watch Wes Work, Brian Block and C&C, nice work, thanks for the video, nice to watch a pro at work.
Thanks for watching! We've had some awesome collaborators with our RUclips stuff - we appreciate them and their audiences!
Amazing expertise!
Boy does that bring back memories, I worked in the Stanadyne product development lab from '83 - '88.
Got to work with a lot of stuff from different customers al using Stanadyne pumps of one version or another, some of which never made it out of the lab.
You've probably got some great stories! Thanks for watching & the comment.
Still have a handfull of prototypes that followed me home
Thorough. Good tech.
Thanks for the wtach!
Wow! Just like “brain surgery”. Never ceases to amaze me, the ability of “man” to design and build (and to repair) such a thing. Excellent video! 👍👍🇨🇦
I had over 8,500 on my John deere 310A and it still ran perfect, no injection pump problem at all.
When you were installing the cam, you said "this is a clockwise pump". But during all of the calibration on the Bosch, it was spinning counter-clockwise. Does that mean it was "clockwise" when looking from the engine toward the pump?
Excellent video, thanks

My JD 450C, with a 4219 turbocharged engine has a problem. The fuel return fitting (on the pump) occasionally plugs with trash and shuts down the machine. I replaced the filter but still plugs with trash. Is there something in the pump that is deteriorating and clogging the pump? Thanks!
Thank you , most people have no idea of the specialized equipment and training involved, this is not DIY.Central California watching.
Such a cool video.
Great content!
Thanks for the watch Chris!
Very well done, convinced me I do not want to do one myself.
Right, we'll do it for ya - Thanks for the watch Richard!
Thank you .
Great video. Came here via diesel creek.
Awesome...Thanks!
First class work
Thanks
came from c&c nice to see how a pump is rebuilt and whats inside

Fantastic video
Funny you guys just make this video now, I just got a Cummins 4BT with that pump on it. was wondering if the 3 bolt flange style is the same as the Bosch VE and CAV/Delphi DPA
Great vid, we had a Stanadyne pump on our JD350B that got sugared fuel once (#$%# neighbors!) and snapped the shaft, got a reman replacement pump and it just never ran right, always struggled and seemed like it was under a load, like the timing was WAY late. I used the cam adjuster screw to add timing and it made a world of difference, no idea what the actual timing is, but it's happier!
Thanks for watching - you can always shoot those questions over to our parts@areadiesel.com email and someone can (hopefully) give you some tips.

Man I guess you been doing it a while but well I'd get lost myself trying to put that back together
Very impressive. Obviously this is not something that can be done by just anyone.
Good work like that you joined forces with c c
good skilled worker
It was with great pleasure that I followed the analysis and recovery of the pump for the full two hours. But as mentioned earlier, the purchase of a (faster working) automatic focus of the camera is a must. It is very disturbing that the manual work cannot be fully followed because the person behind the camera turns the focus in the wrong direction. But otherwise, keep up the great work with these very interesting videos. Greetings from the Netherlands.
