Thanks a lot for the video. If you have more videos related to delay analysis such as TIA method. If not, do you recommend certain web sites. Please, let me know
I have a project where we received a project wide stop work order. Its a one week delay. What would be the best way to show the entire project being delayed. Also, how would you show impacts to an in-progress activity. I see the "suspend" option, but there is no way that I can see to show that visually on the schedule itself.
Hi Bill, Thanks for your video. I really appreciate the presentation. Could you please share the example with us so we can learn it better. thank you so much.
Thanks for the video.. if you can make one video on which % completion type we should choose usually for any EPC project and how to update the % complete and actuals both together i.e. how to update the project ... I shall be thankful
Thanks it is useful the problem when insert the delay activity and link to the successor the completion of the project will increased same as assigned duration. From your illustration it seems that the completion of the project is still the same.
Hi, Thanks for the video! I'm wondering when you add a task that holding up the work what are the predecessor and successors? I think there is no predecessor since you put the constraint for the start date but for the successor is it going to be same as SIN-1010?
Thanks very much Mr. Bill. but one thing is not clear. The Data date for the second delay type is in December 2012. but the inserted fragnet is in march. but by the rule the updated program should be a week older than the event. please clarify this area.
thanks for the video. I will have a question what if I want to add a delay into the existing activity instead of opening a new activity? Would it indicate a same extension period of time? Is there a difference? Thanks!
Bruno Nuro hi I need to delay analysis for my project for time extension process Can you plz help me For which we need to do delay analysis For base line or updated base line How to do delay analysis Plz help me
Hello...how do I make a fragnet for your first example : "Repetitive Work". I recall back in the P3 days I can same a group of activities as a fragnet. When I wanted to use a particular fragnet I just had to look up the fragnet in my saved fragnets, chose it and it would load into the schedule. I do not see where I can do the same exercise in P6. I do not want to make a delayed fragnet...i want to store a group of activities for later use. Yes, I know I can copy and paste but I want to know how to save the activities as a fragnet.
Dear Bill, Thanks a lot for your wonderful presentation, I got a lot of benefits. But for the first example of the delay fragnet, couldn't we directly calculation the minus float of -2 due to 7 days delay between the original activities?
its not in the baseline.it should only be in the progress schedule as the baseline programme will not be touched or else the client has agreed to a change to be reflected in the baseline programme as a revised programme
There is one problem once you have submitted your baseline schedule you cant edit that without the approval of the client. so other method to make your project positive without editing your baseline. Thanks and God bless
For the purpose of updating programme, create a new project for each update within the same EPS so that the baseline and each updated programme can all be saved as comptemporary records. For the purpose of delay analysis, create a new project to include all delay events so the new project along with either the baseline or the updated programme could be opened together to see the impact.
the presentation was very specific and exactly what is required for a delay
Amazing presentation Bill!
Thank you for an informative video
Thanks for the video master 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Please make one on window analysis on primavera, you really explain it well.
Thanks alot Bill!! Very helpful video!!
Good video
Thanks for the presentation, it really helps

that's right no predecessor hence the Start on constraint

Is this insertion of delay fragnet done in the baseline or updated schedule
I would also like to know this if it is applicable for both type of schedule.
its not in the baseline.it should only be in the progress schedule as the baseline programme will not be touched or else the client has agreed to a change to be reflected in the baseline programme as a revised programme
interesting you don't show the gantt chart for clarity
