I have a problem, it gave me an error when updating and it does not finish updating, I tried more than 10 times and the problem persists, what is the solution for when the problem persists?
What can i do if the recovery stops with a failure message on the app screen ?
Try using another device to the the Run the smart app. It needs the laterst Bluetooth version to update. So this solved my issues. Hope this helps

So my device is in update, the app on my tablet finds the corrupted device, however trying to recover i get a window stating " recovery failed" and to try again... which i have many times!!
So now what do i do??
If the recovery is faiiling again and again, then Try using another device to the the Run the smart app. It needs the laterst Bluetooth version to update. So this solved my issues. Hope this helps
Hello! I also have problems with a Sennheiser EW D1, how do I update, what program do I need to install on my phone?
How can you recover if the SKM handheld mic firmware update fails and just has a constant flashing blue light - it will not pair or sync with the receiver at all now - there is no message stating corrupted anywhere.

You need to make sure that you go to the Bluetooth settings on the phone and forget the device. Once you forget the device Bluetooth and in the app. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the app and select “Update devices.” You should be prompted to restore the corrupted device from there.
I think I'm really starting to dig the way the EW-D works. Wondering if Sennheier is going to create an IEM system that uses bluetooth like this one does. Syncing up bodypacks without doing the IR dance is pretty sweet and firmware updates also seem to work without much of a hassle. I don't even need to have a laptop around. Would be great to see that in an IEM as well.

Hi! Can you help me please with an advice? I own a sennheiser ew d1 ci1 instrument set for about 5 years. At the last two events ia had a problem, the batteries drained so fast, in max 10 min those wore dead. I had to switch to cable. What could be the problem?

Knock knock, is anybody home? Several of us in the comment section are following the procedures in this video with no success. Is there a way to reboot the receiver? Mine is stuck in corrupted / "update" mode. It will not update. It's brand new, and useless at the moment.
I guess you just have to keep trying. I probably tried at least a dozen times on one device. I moved about 20 feet away, then it worked. Not sure if the distance had anything to do with it. On a 2nd device, it took about 5 times before it worked.
@@GrantConklin EDIT: I got response within an hour telling me to unlink everything (in phone's bluetooth AND in the app) and instead of trying to link it the normal way, you go to the menu in the top-right, go to firmware updates and then add external device and then press the sync button on the receiver.
This actually fixed it for me and now it updates normally!

Then you have better luck than me. I probably did the stupidest thing. Somehow the app said to unlink the device for some reason. (To all others, if you have this problem DON'T UNLINK!) After I did that there's no way to connect the device again. I don't even have the luxury of retrying it 50 times.
I sent a message to Sennheiser support, but I'm fully expecting I need to return it...

I totally agree. Sennheiser has NEVER figured out how to be friendly, like SHURE.
