Your videos are an absolute gem (pun intended)! I really appreciate how you blend humor with such valuable information about gold prospecting. It’s clear you’re passionate about what you do, and it makes learning about geology and prospecting so much more enjoyable. Keep up the amazing work!
Love the video. It’s fun watching and learning. Had me chuckling the whole time. I love your sense of humor. I think you would be an awesome science teacher. Glad you found some gold and Happy New Year… maybe you’ll strike it rich in 2025. 😎
another advantage to panning out of a tub is you can put a little jet dry in it. as for the bucket panning its super important to keep the whole buck under water so you dont interduce Air and the lets the gold float out well you are swirling. think of it as a potato pan, thanks for the share! stay awesome!
@GlacialGoldHunter that is why you pan out in the tub with jet dry in it and just empty and refill the tub out of the stream . So you can just empty the tub on shore . It you don't like jet dry and you a afraid of it getting back into the water you can just use animal safe dawn soap. It only takes a few drops to brake the surface tension. Experiment for yourself fill your sink up add a little cooking oil and drop a single drop of dawn in you see how little it takes . Soap happens in nature all the time,

Try a snow scoop and just scrape the bottom. A flat bottom Shovel might be help you scrape the dirt and gravel up in layers. Then you can figure out where or how deep that is, the most productive layer is.
When you say “north of Minneapolis”, where about? I was raised right on the mississippi north of Minneapolis, and just curious how close you were to me. Idve come out and helped fill some buckets for ya!
@@GlacialGoldHunter Hhhmmm it's about value though. They last for years & you'll literally go through 3 times the amount of material every single time you pan, with half the arm work. Worth it my man. Shoot, I'll buy you one LOLOL or at least put a hundy on one for you

@@GlacialGoldHunter I'll bet the planet is running the river as a huge sluice. You should make a video after the sun goes into red giant stage and dries up the Earth. I'll bet the gold concentration in the dry river bed will be out of this world.
As always some great humor mixed in with some great prospecting. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Seaweed......in the river...

That very nice of you to say.
Another fun video ... thanks for posting!
I follow many prospectors. You're one of my favorite. Keep up the good work! And bonus points for the Princess Bride clip. 😁
That’s great to hear! Thank you!
I love your presentation. I'm the guy that hobby prospected in Alaska. You just make it fun. Keep it up. I'm going to give it a try this Spring. Tom
That sounds like a fun place to prospect.
I did learn one thing watching you pan for gold. You need to be having “FUN”
That’s the most important part.
You might be new at this, and maybe you're just an enthusiast, but you sure are entertaining and fun to watch. Keep these videos coming.
I will keep them coming. 😃
Wow, I had no idea there were rocks and gravel in the Mississippi. In Arkansas and Louisiana all we see is silt/mud.
Awesome episode!
Yeah I’ve been to the river down in Iowa and all I found was mud.
As always, an entertaining video. Thank you for posting.
Entertaining. Thank you! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for making these videos! I find it fascinating how you are able to find gold just about everywhere.
There are a lot of places I don’t find gold but I don’t always post those.

Great day out there fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas.

I don’t like to put jet dry in the stream. I don’t think the fish like it.

Love the new video Glacial Gold Hunter! Thanks for making my Saturday morning special! You’ll fill up the vial next time I’m sure of it!
I’ll hit the mother load some time!
Awesome video 😅
That is a dragonfly larvae. Thanks for the video.
I didn’t know they could swim!

Instant smile, remembering it’s Saturday and you have a new vid
Glad to hear it!
Anything is worth a try👍. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend
And now you know so you don’t have to.
@GlacialGoldHunter right on😉👍

Great times and learning! Sure looks nice and warm there⛏️⛏️
It was. It’s all ice now.
Mixa-mixa-mixa!
I think you've officially earned a 8 mesh bucket classifier. Great job!
You are teaching some of us we are learning always👊🏽😁
An upper Mississippi episode would be awesome! Lake Itasca to Bemidji area-ish. Not sure of gold but just a suggestion.
That would be fun. If I can find a spot I’ll give it a try.
Going to the Mississippi River this summer
Bring a pan!
Wow that alien bug fish thing was trippy
Right!
Like Pioneer Pauly says....when you find gold thats where the gold is.
I love Pioneer Pauly

I don’t think a snow shovel would work with all the cobbles in here.
I like your term "enthusiast".
Nice gold for Minnesota! But be careful! Bull sharks have been spotted in the Mississippi River all the way up in Minnesota. 😊
That would make a good video!
When you say “north of Minneapolis”, where about? I was raised right on the mississippi north of Minneapolis, and just curious how close you were to me. Idve come out and helped fill some buckets for ya!
This was at elk river.
That's a nice boulder!
I like that boulder.
You ever try down by the bluffs of red wing or lacrosse area? Would be interested how that area would be
No I haven’t tried that for down but as long as there is a good gravel bar you should be able to find some.
Hay if your able would love to have ya come over to montana and mine with us next year
That would be fun road trip!
You still MUST try my Nugget Bucket solution 🙂 Fastest ways to legally move the most amount of dirt here in MN.
I looked into it but those buckets are like $150 and that just seemed a bit much.
@@GlacialGoldHunter Hhhmmm it's about value though. They last for years & you'll literally go through 3 times the amount of material every single time you pan, with half the arm work. Worth it my man. Shoot, I'll buy you one LOLOL or at least put a hundy on one for you
Maybe if you use a 2 gallon bucket to mix up the pea gravel sized stuff after you spin it in the 5 gallon
I think at that point it becomes more trouble than it’s worth.
Use a gold claw gold PAN. You can do a gallon and a half of dirt in one pan, in one minute, it's a lot faster than a sluice.
I’m going to try one next summer. I just wonder how it will do with this glacial gold.
Glacial Gold Hunter releese new material!! Yippie!! 🙂👍💛💙
Wonderful to hear!
Judging by what i saw and heard (traffic noise) your at the 10 and 101 boat landing. Good small mouth fishing area.
@@harrygrimley4352 yep!
I've spent a lot of time just up the river (Monticello) never tried panning 🤔 grew up there and. Still there.
I was thinking you saw this from Jeff Williams and then you said it. Lol. I've thought about trying this myself
Maybe you would have better luck than me.
@GlacialGoldHunter I'm not entirely sure since the gold in my area of oregon is pretty small too
When i go to the Mississippi River, we get about 50 specks of gold in 1 bucket. Secret is dont dig in the water. Dig the cobble on the banks.
I’ll have to try that next time.
9:40 I think that is a coenagrionidae larvae
Wow. So they have a name for the aliens already.
@@GlacialGoldHunterThere truly is nothing new under the sun. Thanks to you I now know more about glacial gold, damselflies, and aliens
Look for gravel and black sand along the shores at the base of those trees.
I’ll give that a try.

use wider bottom pan 10 in or so spreads faster less dngle keep pan flat pump up view cravity panning follow it keep our fines to 400
The end of that one almost channeled Bob Ross there.
I have a bronze casting channel and I’ve been called the Bob Ross of bronze before.
@@GlacialGoldHunter it’s a compliment. :-)
Wilson😂😂 i laughed so hard
Is it bad if I laughed while editing it.
Love the show, hot kid flavor milk 😮
I know. It just doesn’t look good at all.
Said like a fellow Minnesotan…. Ofdah
When you speed pan and find specs do you suck the specs up or just toss back into the bucket? Please advise. You make me nervous not showing us this.
Nope I just go till I see black sand and start filling the pan again.
@GlacialGoldHunter bro :( please bro please
Minneapolis Seaweed :D
Yep!
Minnesota is loaded with black sand but very little gold
But there is still some to be found.
From what I've learned on RUclips... the inside corner is where the gold usually drops.
Yeah but the Mississippi the inside corners look about the same as the straight sections. I just look for the gravels.
I think a dragonfly larvae
I didn’t know they could swim like that.
So You're the reason the Mississippi River is isn't clear in Mississippi! Had no clue the Mississippi was clear at Any point!
😆 yep. It starts out clear. It’s not that clear on the south side of Minneapolis.
Zebulon Pike, the explorer, said the Mississippi had the clearest waters in the whole world.
ALIENS 👽
Definitely!
💯
Spin
That's not the Mississippi! The water's too clean! :)
😆 I’m not sure what happens to it between Minnesota and the gulf but it’s fine up here.
