Gave redux garchomp a try in my first playthrough, and man, that thing is deadly. In the rain, you don't even need to boost to sweep through way too many teams. He was my favorite of the new forms to use
How these megas work in practice: Mega sableye: Is essentially just the same deal as usual… except for some twisted reason it actually hits way harder. But I guess that’s what happens when your knock off is boosted by both nocturnal and analytic. Froslass is just sad: On paper, it would seem like it would be the best slush rusher due to its stats and abilities…. But then you realize that if it’s not using ice stab, it’s PITIFULLY weak. Something as simple and basic as spedef heatran gives it trouble despite it not having any defense against shadow ball just because of how weak Froslass actually is when it isn’t using ice stab. You massively undersell redux mmaw. Even without the the shadow tag that gets it canned by default, between it’s power, speed; and capability to cheese through it’s few checks via bite flinch hax, it would be overwhelming in ou anyway Banette by itself, is not a bad Mon in the slightest, its tools are generally amazing, and if you want to use it it wouldn’t be the worst choice. The problem is that everywhere it goes it gets outclassed. Ou is rn MUCH to overwhelming for it to find a niche in, tho uu isn’t in anyway developed yet. Even in monotype, it has to compete for its spot on mono normal and ghost with hisui zoroark, a strong mon in its own right that doesn’t take up the mega slot. On mono normal especially it also has to compete with kecleon as an anti fighting measure, tho that won’t exactly be a problem once kecleon gets axed from monotype. Gengar is funny…. On one hand a mon as strong as mgar getting the tools it has is terrifying…. But on the other hand due to how strong everything else is, and the fact that it isn’t locked to shadow tag as it’s ability anymore, it has a real chance of dropping to ou and becoming manegable in the tier (likely would need it since gira o outclasses it in Ubers) Shed is likely the hardest mega to use of them rn. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, far from it: if you can actually use it skillfully enough it’s legit ag. Just like shed in previous iterations, it would actually be more prevalent in Ubers than in ou, since the things that beat it are fare less common up there. It has to worry about kyurem black due to teravolt, but besides that it has full reign to go completely crazy The thing about crobat is even before 1.6 when it didn’t have momentum, the strength of its amplifier nasty plot sets were enough to where it would get canned. Now it HAS momentum making physical sets viable and mainstream, tho contrary to what it may seem, special sets haven’t really fallen out of favor, if anything they have been strengthened due to no longer being the most common set, and that set is the last thing you should be unprepared for. Hell, it can potentially experiment with a mixed momentum double dance set, since an unrealized benefit of momentum is that you can easily run mixed since evs in speed are effectively evs in attack, so you can run 252 evs in speed and spatk, nasty plot and agility as boosting options and then a combination of boomburst and brave bird, Nosferatu canceling out the latter’s recoil. I already talked about why redux mega doom is broken in both fidough’s dedicated video on it and the redux ranking video. But long story short: It’s the broken love child of spectrier and serperior, and once caly-s and giratina are banned and restricted respectively, it’s going to take the former’s mantle. Redux chomp I wouldn’t call the strongest, but it definitely is broken and would be banned. However, the reason it HASN’T is because the meta is occupied on other mons. Mainly the dragon era dynamic, while it and rain would naturally do well against zard y led sun teams, they SUCK into tr led by melmetal and mega ampharos, and since everyone’s running things like mega meganium and celebi to stop the electric dragon, rain generally prefers mega kingdra since it takes a hit with multi scale and kills them back with ice beam, as well as winning the 1v1 against mega ampharos even if it has mold breaker if amphy doesn’t have a tail glow.
Yes, there is an elite redux showdown, tho currently it’s getting migrated to another server and thus is down, since the one that was being used was causing problems

garchomp can also got with sea guardian as it's base form ability making it also have a +1 to a stat in rain while said rain boosts it's water type attacks.
Normal Banette also has scare iirc And also Mega Shedinja was CRUCIAL in the fight against Juan and Wallace. It also has levitate which means only rocks are able to hit it
Isn't it the case that Shedinja won't actually die to entry hazards and weather damage because Wonder Guard has been buffed to also make it immune to indirect damage? At least that's what Elite Redux Nextdex says.
From what i saw, it isn't the case. You probably misread the Wonder Guard description as it is now "Is only hit by Super Effective moves or indirect damage". It doesn't help that Mega Shedinja have Magic Guard to only be damaged by moves.
- For mainline game ones and some of the oldest ones added (thoses often came from Radical Red and Inclement Emerald), you get them at the same time as the Mega Brace. - For newer Megas, they are often gifts that you get after beating bosses but there is 2 that you can simply find on the floor between Brawly and Wattson. - The Redux ones can be bought in the same building you normally buy Redux forms.
You know bro I sweeped champion steven's team at the end of league with only my mega redux houndoom I had Nature - modest Item- choice scarf Ability main one- contrary Attack - a ghost type move which decreases sp.tak by 2 stages but with contrary it boosts by 2 and I sweeped his team easily by 1 attack
Ah yes, mega with a choice scarf. you know theres a reason why megas cant hold items so you enabling that option in the game and then being surprised its broken asf is on you.
I was literally in the middle of a mono-ghost run and this vid came out
Same. Pushing towards flannery
Im in a mono water run. Honestly swift swim and rain makes it easy
Perfect timing
