I agree about the crowd noises. I love that he put that in there, but hopefully assigns it to more dense areas, or just runs it through a filter or something to make it sound more distant. He did mention that he would add a feature where the birds and crickets stop when the alien is within a certain proximity. This game is looking fantastic so far, though.
This came out on the same day as my masters graduation. 😅 happy celebration to me. I honestly could watch these videos time and time again of course I would also want to play the game, but it seems like the developer is working tirelessly when he can to make early access as entertaining for the long term as possible. So hopefully we get an announcement this year, but with such a small team and such big ambitions, and shoes to fill trying to get the atmosphere of the movie just right, it is understandable.
If the developer could find a way, I really think it would add to the creepiness factor if the animal anbience completely cuts otf when the tripods are nearby. Maybe it's just me but I find natural ambience just too calming for a horror game.
But an excellent reaction, I am with you on my excitement, this is the type of megalophobia horror I’ve been dreaming of when it comes to war of the worlds.
war of the worlds has been in the public domain for years now, the only reason this game may be in legal trouble is because of it using Paramounts tripod designs

The crowd noises when no crowds are visible could mean the people are in the cages on the tripods
It’s a stat at 23:52 you have health, sleep, food and water. If any one of those depletes it threatens your player character’s survival
Prepare for an out-of-this-world experience!
Hey man. Watching the video now but good to see you reacting too this. I'm so damn excited for this game.

That part from 19:52 on was really cool. That is so close to the movie. AND none of that was even scripted!
That one was scripted
@@Redbr34 Oh.. i thought this update featured unscripted footage. My mistake.
@@Redbr34it was not scripted
@@waroftheworldsgame9026 I thought the campaign mode was going to be scripted
this game alone has me more excited than the entire 5 years of games that came out.

This looks like it could be very good. On the right track at least.
