I had a friend who rented jet skis . Before he would rent you one he made people show him that they could board the ski in water over their head. You would be surprised to see so many people who could not board a ski in deep water . He would not rent to people who couldn't board .
here is some advice. 1. make sure you roll it the correct way. (messed that up today and water got in engine.) 2. make sure before you get on the water itself, make sure your seals are good and water tight. i rolled mine today and water poured in and it nearly sank in the middle of the lake. a passing boat saved us and the ski. So make sure yours is in good condition before you go out on the lake
Capsized a ski about 2 miles from shore in Greece (complete with passenger). Simple to right the ski - especially with the added fear of not knowing what is beneath you!!!
You forgot a critical part. Almost all PWC have a rotation arrow on the back that is visible when flipped. You should always flip it upright in the direction of the arrow! The intake and exhaust are designed so that flipping the craft upright in one direction either keeps water from getting inside the engine or in some designs can even help drain any water that did get inside.
If it's flipped for a few minutes or less the seals on the seats will keep out most of the water and then the bilge will pump out the remainder. The engine is sealed for the most part so you'll be fine. If it does become "pickled" you'll have a $450 repair and don't forget the fuses. They'll get crusted and fouled and you won't know until next week
I just rolled mine over in Lake erie with my wife on back, between her crying and me not knowing what I'm doing it filled up with some serious water, also it kept wanting to roll back over every time we tried getting back on, it was scary,so we finally balanced it enough to get back to shore where I drained about 5 gallons of water out of it
i flipped wave runner in gulf and i almost drowned very hard to flip over and get back on in deep water someone should make video of how to flip and get back on in deep water ,these things can be dangerous
gms killer No shots thrown at you but I flipped mines the other weekend in Miami and I rolled it over with ease and I also got back on the ski from the side. I tried to instruct my girlfriend to make her way to the back but she was panicking. Some people rescued us and I drove the ski back while she rode in a boat with the lady who helped us. They're very easy to roll back over on their bellies if you ever roll them over by falling off.
Last year me and a chick rolled an Aquatrax Turbo. For the life of me I could not get that fucking thing to roll back over. It took 3 people to roll it back over and the damn thing almost sunk before we could get it go. I don't know if it already had some water in it before we tipped it over or something, but it was impossible to roll back over by myself!!!!. First time rolling one completely upside down and it scared the shit outta me. Though I was about to lose a $12k machine....and it wasn't even mine.
They show how to roll the ski back over in shallow water and no waves. Now go out into deeper water with waves and boat traffic where you can’t touch and show us. I bet it’s not as easy!
Scariest moment in my life today, everything you mentioned checked!!! Deep water, boat traffic, and quite panicked!!!! Thank God we were able to manage after almost an hour battle (struggle)
Okay, my sea-doo DOES NOT roll back over that easily. Once it flipped on accident coming right off the lift from passengers not being seated all the way, and got swamped in barely 3 feet of water. It took 4 people and some rope to roll it back over.........
It actually happened today while I was out with my family. The water was about 20 ft deep and it was extremely choppy water so the waves would not let up. However I could still do this and get back to shore on the ski without a problem.

he did it in 2 ft of water
@@aaron-fauth sure did but the fundamentals are the same.
@@richiejohnson2743 2 years later LOL
Flipped a jet ski with my little brother on it, was pretty hard trying to flip a jet ski when the passenger doesn’t wanna let you go 😂
@@TheseRightHereBitch Just tell him about the 14ft Great White swimming around somewhere lol...

He mentioned that lol
Modern yamahas have no sticker
@@obiron2099 Thats because they dont flip. ;)
Thanks. I’m currently in the water, my ski is upside down and I’m watching this vid
Jk
😂👍 I actually laughed out loud

Yea... anyone can flip it over that easy when your feet are on the ground.
Agreed. This is a shitty example
he did it from the side, pretty sure his feet where far from the ground
Either of u ever ride a ski before? Theyre not hard to flip back over..lol
If I can roll back my gp1800r in deep water, pretty sure anyone can! It's ridiculously easy
🤣🤣🤣i know right shit had fucked up
For everyone complaning about that u cant do this on deep water, just look at the first method. The feets is even in the air. 1:20.
Alfred Blixt shallow water where there is no boat traffic or waves
'Check for marine life" = make sure there's not a great white hanging around!!!
you might have a scar but they won't kill you
Why is it always standing on the ground?.. what if you don't have solid footing?

a BIG (1000GPH+) automatic bilge pump is a good addition to any PWC for this reason.
Bet it was a Seadont
i bet you cannot do the trick from the rear unless you can actually stand.. try that it 30 ft of water.. its not going to happen.
fuck i tried to do it almost drowned
Lol
I was about to type that and read your comment haha. Try doing that with 30 feet of water under you lol lol...
do it all the time.
I just did it last week. Just wasn't sure if I did right
Great tips. Thank u chief!
correct me if im wron but you ALWAYS want to roll the ski with the exhaust facing down, in the water or on land.
most JetSkies are made from fiberglass so there very lite and there suppose to float so that factors as well
Thanks for the video, I found it really useful.
try doing it in water were you cant touch !!!
That’s what got me, lol. Guy doing the demonstration is definitely using the ground for leverage.
May have had to roll my waverunner a few hundred meters out in 7 foot surf with a broken leg. Fun times
how many times are u suppost to roll the seadoo
Which way is recommended for the Seadoo RXP 215 2005? Cheers

gms killer the most important thing is not to tire yourself out to fast.

Reinaldo Colon glad you are ok!
Thx!!! Everything good now thank God!!!!
how in the hell does that jetski not become swampped from being under water.??
The right way is counter clockwise!!! Also the sticker on the jet sky says so!
If you roll the ski, will it mess anything up engine wise?
Just got to be careful of water getting inside the engine bay
Just did it whit a rxtx 260 in abaut 11m deep

Sell that Sea-Doo and buy a Yamaha. You're welcome bud. When you're done with that Yamaha sell it for what you paid for it...
We rolled one over today maybe was upside down for 45seconds or so and it wont start
Fixed the issue it was the ignition coil
guys the YAMAHA is the best for roll over i have FZR and its so easy
there not ment to roll over
Now try it while treading water
That is really cool
Now deep water please
Lmao try it while treading water this video is useless beside first method
