My favorite rebuilt Battle of Britain class are 34058 Sir Frederick Pile and 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair. They were named after those officers who fought in World War II.
@@SharpthorneSteam, also there’s another Battle of Britain class that is still awaiting its restoration and that is 34073 249 Squadron which is still acting as a donor loco for 34067 Tangmere and hopefully the engine will be restored soon.
Also there’s another Battle of Britain locomotive that is still awaiting restoration and that is 34073 249 Squadron. It’s been acting as a donor loco for 34067 Tangmere for years and hopefully the engine will be restored soon.

Hopefully Sir Freddie will be back sometime in the future. Be good to see a double header of 34058 and 59.

It’s nice to see Archie’s name on the side
It is nice to see her back to her best. She looks very impressive.
@@SharpthorneSteam agrees
Will 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair be mainline certified for hauling express trains?
I don't believe there are any plans to make Sir Archie mainline certified.
@@SharpthorneSteam, are you saying that 34059 won’t go on the mainline in preservation?
